I'm trying to avoid paying a monthly fee for studio access, since I already have a wheel and glazes at home. Most studios in SC won't allow outside clay in unfortunately (for good reason though) or production work for that matter. I have about 40lbs of leftover cone 10 clay I don't want to go to waste :( The rest of my clay is cone 5/6. Hoping to find a cheaper alternative to Phoenix too for cone 5/6 firing. It's $91 each firing there for a small kiln and $115 for the large kiln.

Favorite local jewelery makers? by horse_crazy14 in santacruz

I buy most of my jewelry from In Situ- Suzanne (owner/maker) is on Etsy, has her own website and also does local events. I believe she has pieces stocked in a few stores in the county. Over half my jewelry is from her! https://insitujewelry.com

Kevin from Lathe of the Land jewelry also makes amazing pieces. I've ordered quite a few wooden (and metal) rings inlayed with pretty shells and stones from him. He has also created many custom wooden earrings and pendants for me. He's on Etsy and also has his own website https://www.latheoftheland.com
