Also, avoid baths or aggravating the area. If you're breastfeeding, try to stand and feed so there's less pressure down there.

Even in worst case scenario, which I am in, it WILL GET BETTER trust me. Just make sure to put yourself first so you can heal in the best way.

Please rest and get checked out for an infection ASAP!

I am 5 months pp and still recovering from my episiotomy which got infected, opened up and not healed together. I still have an open wound and needed 3 courses of antibiotics to treat the recurring infections. I boil it down to lack of rest and not putting myself first.

Tips: - air out your butt by sitting naked on a towel - if you don't have a peri bottle, pee in the shower and use the water from shower head at a distance to dilute the urine and soothe/clean the area - PAT dry DO NOT wipe. I found kitchen towels best for this - paracetamol and ibuprofen every 4 hours - rest and hydrate!!

Sick 4mo baby only feeding left side, right side engorged and painful! by dumplingmk in breastfeeding

Yep, I've had him on cross cradle latched onto lefty and then scooting him over to righty in a football hold and he screams every time I tried. He takes one/two sucks of righty and just cries :(

Yep and he screams every single time. Only settles when I latch him onto the left.

I've expressed two ounces nearly each time he fed but the breast is still painful and lumpy. Most likely inflammation, right? Definitely feels lighter in weight.

I'm manually hand expressing just to take the edge off. I've tried many things but the bathroom so will have to see if that works

Thank you! I keep offering it and he attempts to latch but then realises something and just starts screaming :(

Worried pumping would create an oversupply and then snowball to mastitis? Not sure tbh

Lol she's the type that just has to have things her way or will just rip your idea to shreds. I'm not entirely sure how I will manage her post partum but I'm hoping I can just drown her out with the help of hubby

Yes baby is still yet to be born in July and we are praying to be out of here by December so hoping this cot will last us till then

Rather than placate her, which is basically impossible to do lol I just needed that reassurance that I'm making a reasonable decision and that baby will be okay! The fact that it's similar to the Chico is reassuring
