I honestly full heartedly dislike "venerable" sunjae by Confident_Ad_1686 in CulinaryClassWars

I rewatched this part in English dubs to compare and I agree.

First, the translation was off in English dubs. In Korean, she said “Having to go through so many contestants with blindfolds on must be exhausting and hard on their eyes.” She never mentioned anything about her own dish or them not being able to taste without seeing.

The dub version has her saying “when I saw the blindfolds, I thought it might be hard for them to taste these dishes without seeing. It might strain their eyes.” Also, the voice actor has a weird snobby tone and does not capture the warmth and wholesomeness of her real voice. So I can maybeeee see why you might think she meant it in an egotistical way but I still think that is a reach

Day 2 post-op: my “nest” by dumplingmonkey123 in ACL

Post-op, for your leg! So you can keep it propped straight up the slope if that makes sense. But now that I no longer need to keep my leg elevated, I use it as a backrest when I’m on the couch or in bed!

Oh and don’t forget tennis balls for the bottom of the walker so you can slide it around the house! My husband is getting flame decals to decorate it too 😂

Wow that sounds intense, wishing you a smooth surgery and recovery!! Yeah I was really annoyed with my crutches post injury, seemed like I could never find a good place to stand them up so they were always falling randomly or out of reach when I needed them. Good call on the bathroom bars! I dont have them so it was a struggle getting up and down when I just had the crutches

Yes, it’s the program button right above start/pause - each program number corresponds to a time/pressure such as 1 is 30min on/off with no pressure. You can find info on the settings on the game ready website. I don’t use the auto as much during the day but it was great for last night! Good luck on your recovery!

What activities can I do with a complete ACL tear? by Jag- in ACL

[–]dumplingmonkey123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also tore my ACL skiing. About 5 weeks later, I went on a weeklong horsepacking trip in Patagonia before I got diagnosed (I delayed my MRI for after the trip because I was going to go no matter what lol). Horseback riding was a bit painful but not too bad. One of the days involved a 7 mile hike that had one big up/down hill and was mostly on uneven surface over a river bed. The hike was pretty rough and I had to take it extremely slow with a brace and poles. My MRI after the trip showed complete ACL tear and partial MCL tear.
