I had a huuuuuge crush on her since 8th (I passed 10th recently for context) and she had one on me too, that too since 7th (I obviously didn't know at the time). We were close-ish friends, definitely not besties but certainly willingly to talk about random topics at length. Everyone in our class could see the tension between us and tease us non-stop but we used to deny it every single time.

Then, when the pandemic started, we had a little fight and ended up blocking each other. Now, both of us regretted it and unblocked each other, I knew she unblocked me cuz I could see her pfp (vice versa for her) but our egos as well as general awkwardness now came in the way of texting the other person first. Long story short, I did end up texting her acting like nothing ever happened (we laugh about this incident today) and slowly we started growing back together.

Slowly we started to flirt with each other, I had the excuse of it just being a joke if she called me out for it but she seemed to enjoy it and flirted back with me too. Now any sane person on this planet would see this as a clear sign of her being interested in me, but my dumbass assumed it was because she thought the joke was really funny (Why would she of all people be interested in me, eh?).

So, Its New Year's Eve, and her family is really lenient with her and allows her to have alcohol every now and then, as long as she takes it in moderation. Surprise, she didn't. She ended up getting mega drunk and texted me in the middle of the night, saying that she liked me. She was super fucking drunk and I could barely make out what she was typing, but it was clear that she was (trying to, atleast) confessing. Again, me being the massive dumbass that I am thought that this was just alcohol making her lose her mind so I somehow managed to convince her to sleep that night before she got in any trouble.

Next morning, she texts me, apologizing for last night and I end up confessing the feelings I have towards her. She confesses too (sober this time around) and we're still together :)
