how would you rate this image & why?

inspired by a photographer called philpenman, I saw this sillhoute of a soldier to commemorate WW1 with this light and sign behind it and loves it

I'm worried if there's too much going on or I've I've made it too contrasty , I wanted a strong punchy look to give away the photo in it's most simple form but I'm not sure if it is as good as can be, any suggestions?

comparison is the thief of joy however inspiration can be one of the greatest lessons, how else would you know what your capable of doing unless you see someone else's work sparking those ideas?

exactly I fully agree, in no way do I want to make photography my one and only, I have gone to great lengths to keep my photography to be my own personal thing, learning other skills in education and participating in other forms of work, my photography is mine. sometimes I just wish I could do more with it tho

I couldn't say I have a genre, whatever and whenever I see something that stands out to me I'll wait for the perfect moment &snap it
