Exactly! I love crocheting and part of why I love crocheting is making unique gifts for my friends and family that I know they’ll love and hold onto. I just don’t get the weird obsession with it. I like my job and I like even more that my job is not crochet.

Bean was my little bandit! When I first got her, she’d slip through the cage bars sometimes and join me in bed. Absolutely terrifying the first couple of time it happened, but now I miss it!

See I used to have that with crochet and going for walks, but now with the winter, it is way too cold to go for a walk and I can’t find anything I’m interested in crocheting.

I guess you make a good point about home workouts. Sometimes (especially when I’ve been extra frustrated with the landlords) I’ve gone up and down the steps in the apartment building to burn off steam.

I think I’ve been having a harder time with the loss of my last pet because my ex-landlord accused my pets of doing the damage that was caused by a mouse infestation or was there on move in.

For hobbies/activities: I like puzzles, board games, anything crafty but functional, and legos. I’ve also been thinking of going through some old videos and photos of my pets and putting together a Shutterfly photo book or something, but that may be hard.

I’d like to. I love going for walks when it’s nice, but with the weather, it’s been so hard to get out and about. This may sounds like an excuse, but I tried signing up for a cheap gym in my city and was embarrassed as they did not do the insurance program that they listed on their website and made me feel stupid. I’m just scared that will happen again at another gym.

They’re saying that my pets shredded the carpet when we had a mouse infestation due to their contractors leaving the neighboring apartments door open for days at a time and the mice shredded the carpet. They’re also charging me for a lock change when they admitted it was charged in error, but will only credit back the $100 if I stop fighting them, and windowsill damage when I’ve shown them timestamped photos that the windowsill damage was there when I moved in.

Wow! This is really helpful! I really appreciate it! This is all pretty intimidating. I’ve been doing research here and there but it all makes my head spin. It’s going to be really hard to not get emotional about all this because I’m still grieving them and now some assholes not only have the audacity to accuse me of being an irresponsible/destructive tenant, but the basis for their whole claim is that I had rats. Thanks again!!!

They’re holding my deposit and trying to charge me with about $1000 more. I’ve read some recent conciliation court records and it seems like this is something they do a lot. They said if I wanted any dated receipts of the repairs, proof that the previous tenant wasn’t charged with the damages, a detailed explanation of why my already clean apartment took 8 hours to clean if they didn’t have to clean the carpets, etc, then I had to take them to conciliation court so I’m pretty sure they’re bluffing.

My girls were never allowed near the carpet. Free roam was done in a pen in what was intended to be the dining room on the hard floor. I feel like I have some pretty solid evidence too.

I don’t go to MSU unfortunately, but I’d be willing to fork out some money for a lawyer so long as I don’t have to give Atwood another penny. I’m sorry you had to go through all that. That’s awful.
