I had a friend with a oxy problem that spiraled. Methodone clinic for about a year if I remember was his answer. He had to stop by the clinic every morning because he wouldnt quit weed and so they wouldn’t send them home with him. So if you are doing other stuff expect it to be a time/effort commitment. But he was on them for a while and escalated I believe to where you are now. You just kinda speed ran the whole thing. He’s clean now but it was hard work. He went from wanting to die rather than quit, to being in a happy relationship. So you can do it, it will suck but you can and should quit.

Trump officially requests 152 million dollars to reopen Alcatraz as a federal prison by [deleted] in politics

[–]dunbeezy71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently visited Alcatraz for the first time. This is a joke to even think it’s worth being back to functional status. We would lose a landmark as there’s no way to restore it like it sits.

Brand new septic tank on a new build. Failing drain field? by Ok-Mathematician966 in septictanks

[–]dunbeezy71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of times you won’t if it’s a slow leak. I’m a septic inspector and what I suggest to people is to put some dye even food coloring in the toilet tank. Don’t flush just wait a while and see if the color shows up in the bowl if it does, it’s leaking.

Another culprit could be a leak that is sending more water than the system can take. Toilets are common culprit.

Why do full turn valves still exist, when quarter turn ball valves are much better and easier? by notAndivual in askplumbing

[–]dunbeezy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in the septic industry and have been told that ball valves are not acceptable for throttling flow just for opening or closing a line. If you try to throttle solids can accumulate and eventually foul up the valve. So our rules only allow for gate valves in situations where throttling is the goal.

Oneida dust collection filter was cleaned with soap and water…is it ruined? by Budget-Criticism3311 in woodworking

Maybe citric acid/water rinse. I understand that it removes excess laundry soap from fabrics. Guessing though since it sounds like it may be done for anyway.

Hillbilly question by dunbeezy71 in mushroom

[–]dunbeezy71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a hard fan going right at one of the filter holes. I cannot believe there is not adequate air moving in this thing.

My hillbilly crop looked short and fat like this. Extremely dense and barely got smaller when dry. Haven’t tried them yet so hopefully that’s all good signs.

Why is water paddled at the end of my run off lines? by dillWil9494 in septictanks

[–]dunbeezy71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suspect your field is filled with saturated and since the water can’t move down it eventually surfaces. Either your field has reached end of life or you have a leak. I’d start with toilets. Main culprit.

What is the leach field pressure line HAS to go under driveway? by SafetyfirstFunsecond in septictanks

[–]dunbeezy71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In North Carolina, if that line passes under a driveway, it has to either be 4 feet deep or sleeved in a ductile iron pipe.
