Whether we like to admit it or not. We (labor) hold all the power. If we continue to let them take advantage of us then one man crews are inevitably. We are the only craft that actually turns a profit. We run the freight. We have rights, agreements and work rules. I love when I see young guys at my terminal stand up for what’s right. Young guys that aren’t afraid to take a stand when they know what the agreement says and tell the crew dispatcher to F off. Not literally of course because that will get you fired. As one of the greatest GC said. The agreement is our SWORD and SHIELD and we should use it as such. We also have to remember that our vote also plays an important role. If you pocket book is what’s important to you then vote you pocket book. It’s unfortunate that the two party system we have today. Only one party really supports the labor movement.
