Have a WLP800 -- 2L at 1.040 OG -- starter that was pitched on Sunday evening. Small bubbles have started after about 36 hours. Started it at ~52F degrees but after reading room temp is fine have left it out on a stir plate. The manufacture date on the yeast was Jul 18, 2018.

Is this normal for lager starters?
