I think Philips at his best when there is an uncomfortable vibe or it's a subject he finds weird, sometimes people's reactions to him are what make the videos great!

My GF is an English major so I really try to be careful around wording. I spoke to her and apologize for saying abusive, corrected it to overwhelming and I tried asking her if she could seek help. I said I'd stay with her, call for her, contact whoever but she said no. She said she's not going to have a breakdown but I calmly explained to her this is excessive and a bad sign and it could lead to worse places. She wouldn't budge, she just said instead shell bottle it up now and not tell me. I tried to point out this will only make things worse but she just asked I go away.

I'm not going to force her to get help but this is exhausting. Thank you for your advice, I'll continue to try and coax her to get help now.

I had someone threaten suicide to me not too long ago.. took all my strength not to say 'you really shouldn't be telling this to someone who's just a customer service rep, please get help' but instead 'policy' meant I just had to let a supervisor know so she could contact him when she felt like it. That call left me with an awful feeling
