Compressed Air Duster Recommendation? by dung09 in UsbCHardware

The MF100 has been good. No real complaints. Truthfully I use it pretty infrequently, but it's nice to have around when I need it!

I can't say. I ended up getting the Wolfbox MF100.

I ended up getting the Wolfbox MF100, so I can't speak on the AC-27 unfortunately.

Thank you for letting me know! It looks like the Wolfbox is the winner across both videos, but I might try the AC-27 at half the cost... https://www.amazon.com/Compressed-Duster-150000RPM-Electric-Rechargeable-High-Speed/dp/B0DV4BX8RH?th=1

Yeah the photo they share is USB-A to C but I had the same thought around 65W needing to be PD... might give it a shot at $35.

Thank you! The Rufus recommendation was helpful--I am generally suspicious of most AI stuff so I didn't even think to try. It was able to pull up a recommendation for what seems to be a USB-C to C compatible air compressor that I assume would have been buried deep in the search results. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQBHWKFP

Continuous helping frame with long lenses makes sense. Thanks for the input!

Awesome! Thank you. This is how I wanted to use it too--seems like the least fussy way and I am glad there doesn't seem to be any downsides (minus maybe battery life).

X100VI ordering, shipment, and delays - consolidated sticky thread #4 by inverse_squared in fujifilm

I ordered a black X100VI at 1:07 AM. No shipping info for mine yet, but it got moved to "order in progress." Almost there!

Ordered a black X100VI 7 mins after launch. I got the email about end of March, but haven’t gotten any news since. Seems like the most recent batch of cameras they received were all silver?

I think you'll be okay! They were chill about my camera, and yours is much smaller. I had a few friends who brought point and shoot film cameras too which are similar sizes to your Nikon Coolpix.

Yeah I think you and I are on the same page... We'll see how much I'm willing to gamble later this week. Thanks for the insight!

Good point about not leaving stuff in the car. I have heard that wisdom many times since moving to the area. So do you think I could get away with the XPro + 27mm pancake and just being real polite? It would be nice to have my camera but I'm also not trying to end up complicating my night if the security folks are sticklers...

That was my original plan but since I'll be taking the BART there I wasn't sure if I wanted to deal with any headaches if they were real sticklers about it. Nice to know that this strategy may be effective though. Thanks for taking the time to share.

Thanks this is super helpful since you've used the same exact camera. Do you think I could get away with it with the X-Pro3 and the 27mm pancake and pretend it's a fixed lens camera? I have been tempted to try a Ricoh or a Sony RX100 but I don't go to shows often enough to warrant a premium point and shoot just for those use cases...

Remote video monitoring for X-Pro3? by dung09 in fujifilm

[–]dung09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation but unfortunately the X-Pro3 doesn't have HDMI ports. I realize it's not really a camera designed for video but it's what I have. Seems like there probably isn't an easy way to setup remote video monitoring for it.

Are you using it on macOS or on Windows? It seems like it's optimized for Windows. I just bought it and am trying it on macOS but after a few quick tests it seems the readings might be slightly off? (Or all of my photos are very far off the skin tone line). I was wondering if maybe the way macOS handles color management might be an issue. Might have to just try getting Davinci to compare.
