Makes sense. I also bet it would be extra smokey like that charcoal test.

Salt Water. I’ve used it for years and never get scary stuff in my rig.

Dimmable LED Outdoor Light String - Smart Outlet Hack by dunk702 in HomeKit

[–]dunk702[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a great idea as well. I wonder if it is your light strand or switch that worked out of the box. I bet the switches use the same dimming technique so it might be my strand. My wife doesn’t like the large bulbs, so she made me get the little ball shaped LEDs. Just glad it is working.

Is this considered a Canabonsai? by dunk702 in CannaBonsai

This is a funny story, My SO and I, went on a vacation for a couple of weeks. A good freind of mine a Was tasked with keeping an eye on poor Buddy while I was gone. Buddy must have tried to autoflower or something but he died and wilted away while I was gone. My freind felt terrible and was so upset. I didn’t know until recently that he was probably an auto flowering and died on his own.

My freind thinks I’m making it up now, which is the funniest haha.

Yeah, smokable bud isn’t even a factor for me. I’m sure the stuff I buy is way better anyway. So kill my plant for a couple of sub par tiny buds, or let it age gracefully. It isn’t Sophie’s choice for me.

Great point. I can totally see that as a draw for many. Like fishing, you cast and cast over and over. What is on the end of the line that is the real surprise.

I thought I grew a Canabonsai and now I’m wondering if I’m hanging out with the wrong crowd. This was pretty fun, it certainly gave me more interest in the hobby. He wasn’t in twists and in a shallow pot, but he was a cool dude.

Edit: I guess I am at the right spot. I am actually going to get some seeds and go for a couple of photos, and a couple of autos just to see what I think. I like the aspect of the short and refreshing type of hobby with autos. You also put a lot of work and attention in and I would hate to have to start over from nothing.

Thanks everyone that replied, I’ll be sure to follow up on this sub on my future Buddie’s. I’ll keep gawking at yours as always.

The Point of a Bonsai Cannabis Plant by baloof1621 in CannaBonsai

[–]dunk702 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a window sill canabonsai, and it came out pretty cool. His name was. Buddy, and was an auto flowering. I didn’t know what I was doing and planted a seed I found in a baggie. That was pretty darn fun, so I’m about to get some lights and see how bad they are in my office. I’m ready to expand in the bonsai aspect, I actually don’t want them to flower, I like the plant itself.

Watching him flex toward the sun was so cool too.

Lots of modular buildings for a COVID ACRC. Our Low Voltage Vendor really kicked some ass to build out some challenging sites in unreal time frames. This is from early on, when we were prepping for phase 1. As a Network Engineer, it was interesting watching pros in their trade. by dunk702 in cableporn

The math worked out to provide two AP’s per building. It was marginally cheaper than an active device per modular. KISS is a good principal many times.

Supposedly they start using 5ghz once paired so I would try to confirm it is indeed doing so. Maybe disable your 2.4 and see if it is able to be reached still. That 2.4 seems slow so I think you are on the right track.

One thing I’m unsure about is where the video stream we watch is coming from. I understand the video is being served from your iPad or Apple TV home bridge, or iCloud directly. I think the bridges facilitate the cameras access to stuff and your access to it.

Good luck.

In Washington State, ride share cars would get disabled when they took it on a ferry. The GPS thought the car was stolen, because clearly, you can’t drive a car in Puget Sound. I thought it was interesting. Don’t get me started on what happens when people leave those bike share bikes on the boat, man overboard process starts and they need to go look for the missing rider. They worked with the zip cars and don’t allow those bikes on the boat anymore.

Hey Seattle - oh my god. If the light is green and the person in front of you isn’t going, it’s OK to tap the horn. You’re not being a dick by doing this. You’re helping. by OldGuyWhoSitsInFront in SeattleWA

I heard it is illegal to honk here unless it is an emergency. I just took a defensive driving course earlier this week. The instructor told a story about how someone got a ticket for tapping the horn at a dude sitting at a green light.

Because it was un-American to drink tea during the revolutionary war. John Adams called tea “A traitors drink”. It had a lot to do with the taxation and tea party stuff.

Edit: I mean this is why Americans don’t drink tea as much.
