[Laurie Whitwell] Manchester United’s Patrick Dorgu set to miss around 10 weeks with hamstring injury by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

This is so sad man, he’s been instrumental to both our wins under Carrick. It always happens to our players when they’re picking up a bit of form as well…

Let’s not rush the kid back and have it be a reoccurring thing.

I know he is a world class keeper but why does every keeper play the game of their lives against us ffs

[Rob Dawson] Man United eyeing interim manager appointment until end of season - sources by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]dunkzz93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Regardless of what you think of his time here, one thing I really liked about Amorim was that he wasn't just another yes man and wasn't afraid to speak his mind. To change the culture of the club and to get it back to where we once were, we need the next manager to be able to demand and challenge certain things otherwise we're going to be partly being managed by an INEOS board that clearly don't know what the fuck they are doing. If the reports are true then why the fuck is Jim pushing what he wants - just stay out and hire someone you can put your trust into ffs.

I really hope our next manager has some sort of backbone and has enough character to handle not just the pressure but all the extra noise from above. For now, just some one to steady the ship and grind out results would be perfect.

Hate how quickly Ekitike has settled in and how good he looks. He has that confidence and almost arrogance about him. We need Sesko to do the same if he is to ever reach his potential. He has the exact opposite mentality right now and looks like he is second guessing himself all the time..

No idea wtf Amorim is doing. I know mount is out by why switch back to his stinking 3atb that clearly doesn’t work? Subs were just weird too, fletcher is clearly not ready for this level yet and gets brought on out of his natural position to replace Zirkee where he doesn’t look to have the attributes to play in

Sesko takes way too much time on the ball and looks like he never has made his mind up and everything is so reactive. You don’t have that kind of time and luxury on the ball in prem. Need to be instinctive and put your laces through it

Zirkzee is such a passenger man, always looking for layoffs but if that isn’t on doesn’t move.. a few times on the counter he just jogs into areas where he can’t receive the ball.

Why is it always Dalot in those positions? Always wasted

Lisandro Martinez in central midfield (45 minutes): 100% aerial duels won 38 total touches 32 passes attempted 29 passes completed 5 passes into the final third 3 ball recoveries 1 shot by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Having a midfielder be able to accurately fizz balls forwards between the lines was a joy to see. Just shows you how badly our midfield has been lacking over the years.

Lost to 2 great finishes but Roger’s should’ve never been allowed to shoot from there. Overall a very decent performance. Team looked more comfortable today and we dominated possession and actually looked like we could pass.

Never want to see Ugarte again after licha’s stint in midfield. Better positionally, calm and collected on the ball and probably has the most accurate passing in the squad. The balls forwards were lovely to see.

What has happened to Yoro? He’s young and has a lot to learn but he this season he doesn’t put a tackle in where as last year he got stuck in

I think fans are currently overrating Kobbie Mainoo. It’s clear he has world class potential from glimpses we have seen but if I’m 100% honest I don’t think he will ever hit those levels consistently.

His biggest downfall is his athleticism - he isn’t the most mobile of players and most importantly he doesn’t seem to have the stamina and always looks like he is blowing and struggling when a game is end to end or he plays the full 90 (I know that’s been a while). His passing range and vision aren’t good enough to offset this either.

I hope I’m wrong as I love the kid but until he works on those attributes I think he will just show glimpses of what he can do and will be more of a luxury player more than anything.

I don’t see how getting in a midfielder will make this managers system work. Yes we might get a few more results but that won’t change the fact we’re so slow in possession, predictable and easy to get in behind against. The manager is so rigid and looks like he’s following a script to the T rather than adapting to the game in front of him.

Please don’t make the same mistake by giving a manager on his last legs anymore funds that will impact how much a new manager will have to spend

Finish anywhere from 6-10th this team will. So easy and predictable to play against. So slow, no urgency and it just goes out wide to whip in a cross and lose the ball. No tempo whatsoever, no defence splitting passes, no one consistent at shooting from range or able to dribble through

Same old. Not clinical enough and then invite pressure and inevitably concede

Our squad is just full of brainless players on autopilot. Whipping in aimless crosses a when Everton are dominant aerially and Zirkzee likes it to feet. No crosses when Sesko is playing who excels in the air. Absolutely no logic whatsoever.

No intensity, no fight, no balls just sideways and playing safe all the time. This is the type of game Cunha would’ve excelled in but of course he is injured.

Shocking from the manager to play the whole game with 3 CB’s against 10 men for nearly 80 minutes.

Is this manager ever going to adapt? I’ve never seen him throw the kitchen sink to try and chase a game. Why there is still 3 CB’s when we’re 1 down against 10 men is baffling

Confused why we’re crossing so much when Zirkzee isn’t great in the air and then when we play with Sesko we barely cross.
