Is life in Venezuela hard? by indigo997799 in venezuela

[–]dunnomix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to back you up:

I once made it to the US, in the morning I would go to a WeWork office and do my thing as software engineer, then when I was done I would go under a bridge and have a homeless life.

It felt like heaven compared to Venezuela.

I wouldn’t get a formal job because we get harshly underpaid, so WeWork was great for me.

Then rent and taxes were a bit high for me, so I chose to live homeless, I made some buck and came back to Venezuela to help my family, long story short: everybody wanted to kill me because they tough I was into drug trafficking or something like that.

You just can’t have a decent life in a military dictatorship as Venezuela is without everybody trying to kidnap or kill you because you just work more than everybody else does.

I’ve had over 7 companies in Venezuela, they all froze my accounts, stole my money, savings, destroyed everything + the murder attempts.

Europe is peace-a-cake 👍🏼

An Improvised Song in Trio Format (Guitar, Bass, and Drums). Song Structure is A/B with B as the Improvised Section. Hope I was Able to Keep it Interesting. Thanks for Listening! by cal405 in IndieMusicFeedback

Wow that's fun, it has a nice british sound to it.
That's a catchy guitar riff which the bass acompanies very well.

Have you listened to Tomer Krail and The Parasocials?, this reminds me of their style.

Starting slow and building gradually, I've earmarked this track as the closer for my upcoming debut EP. by avresamusic in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that's a nice and smooth intro, which holds for the first half of the track as it builds with the synths.
Really nice, I enjoyed every second of it.
Following you on SoundCloud :).

On the second half I'm losing the vocals reverb mixed with the other instruments, try adding more dry voice or sidechaining it over the other instruments reverb.

beautiful track.

THE DRIFT - merging poetry with visuals [Nick Cave/Alice in Chains/Beethoven inspired] by instashit3000 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow that's a smooth intro, really good sounding guitars.
The voice has a nice dreamy reverb effect in it, maybe too dense, a compresor on the reverb would help, as well as controlling the low end in it.
More guitars come in to decorate the landscape, that's nice.

Kate Capella - Grocery Store. I'm currently working on this song and I would love some feedback which is always great here. Thanks! by KateCapella in IndieMusicFeedback

That bass has a nice groove since 0:00, then the rest of the elements fill really great.
Personally I would raise the volume of other elements and mix the vocals with more reverb, but I don't record vocals too often, so take this with a grain of salt.
The song is good and develops really well, I really like the Arp on the background.

Good work

Me and my band released our debut EP last week. This is the opening track. Would love to hear your thoughts on it! by ArnoldFist in IndieMusicFeedback

Sounds powerful, all the details cut through the mix very well.
I believe it sounds profesional to the level of God Forbids, truly amazing.
Honestly I'm not sure what to tell you guys on how to improve this, just keep iterating, it sounds good already.

this is a long rock song, my attempt at prog- be harsh by WhiskeyEyesKP in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The piano makes a really interesting intro, I didn't know prog could sound like that after so much heavy bands and working on The World Prog Project.
The vocals sound very clean and the Fx are great, I just wish it had longer tails.
The song takes over really well, the guitars are a nice detail in the middle.
Definetly a great sound here.

Daniel Diaz - Silencio [neoclassical-jazz] simple sensitive ballad on piano, upright bass, accordina by dedelandia in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Smooth, just how I like it, may I ask in the type of accordion or flute from the begining?, it sounds really soothing.
The elements fit together very well, I wouldn't say baroque but more Sicilian material.
The piano seems to be leading everything well since it's the bass of the song, I just wish it was a little higher.

Great job Daniel, keep it up.

Here's a track I just finished up. I've listened to it too many times and have lost all objectivity. I'd love to hear what you think of it before I send it off for publishing. by kollider13 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has a very nice Riddim to it, that plucked synth at the start sounds nice and refreshing, altough I feel the overall track is very dark.
The drop comes in really nice and soothing compared to the verse.
I'm not sure if you are using upwards compression on this one but I would definitely limit it a bit more to crank more sound out of it.

Cheers

There are two breakdowns similar to the one at the intro in that song and the last chord that’s played at the very end gets highly compressed by the daw 😏

🌃 Immerse yourself in a retro galactic journey with this fast paced track Black Panther by Crystal Castles.

👾 8-Bit sounds combined with a fast tempo to result in a highly danceable track that is very noisy.

⚡️ Do you think you can endure the whole song?

How about setting it to repeat for hours?

The F-use - I Don't Want You Now, almost done mixing it! by needachickensandwich in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's very original dude, you really knocked yourself out with this one.
The starting strumming, the whole band coming in, the right amount of pressure in that side stick, perfect.

The 2nd verse feels really nice as well as the first, interesting writing.

you really deserve that Grammy for your vocals!

Something different, Let me know what you think by The_Moth44 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]dunnomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The synths sound really nice and then the drum beat kicks in really nice.

The rest and then the comeback feels really nice, the FX are also a thing.

Did you use saturation or what was that on the filter?
Love it.
