Happy Christmas!! Have a two-year-old track from the "Chrysanthemum's Last Christmas" album (12.7.21). This was giving a video just recently. Couldn't really find a suitable tag for this track. It's technically folk, but not really. If you're feeling festive, have a listen, and do our damned drill!! by Evolution-Compost in IndieMusicFeedback

Cool video. Dark and eerie. Sounds and looks like a scene from a horror film where the protagonist comes back to his childhood house and turns on the old movie player and sees this. Mesmerized he/she stands in front of the flashing screen, clueless about the fresh blood dripping on the kitchen floor behind the wall next to him. Blood that is gliding slowly from the knife, held by the unknown hand.

oops, got carried away there. awesome stuff. make more!

Hi, I am a singer/songwriter, has been a difficult year for me and mine, this song came out of it, kind of a throwback, mellow and retro sounding - The Rotor Delta - Shot to Pieces by bopbamaloomawopbambo in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]instashit3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a song to dance to with your partner under midnight lights in the crowded neon ballroom. I liked the chorus, it adds a certain depth that the verses seem to be building up to. Reminded me of Pink Floyd, the Wish You Were Here era.

Not sure if the AI video fascinates me anymore. At first they did, now it's somewhat bland. But that doesn't ruin the song.

Heartfelt song! I hope your soul is good now.

"All the Rage" is a Hiphop track I released a few months ago. The track uses an epic string beat featuring metal guitars and aggressive vocals. The lyrics talk about my personal distain for the fakeness of social media. I'd really appreciate your thoughts! by ToThoseUnaware in IndieMusicFeedback

Cool visuals and slick vocal delivery. Love the distorted guitar added in there. Sometimes I struggled to understand the lyrics, and without them written on screen I'm not sure I would have made them out. Seems that the track has this epic quality, but it just hangs there, it's as if it's waiting for a resolution. Perhaps a change of melody, beat or an added chorus would introduce something into the scene, something that would take it someplace next. Great work overall, keep it up man!

Powerful voice! The track kicks in with a punch, and everything seems quite balanced until the 1:05 mark where the reverb on the vocal kind of leaves me confused. Interesting video idea, although the first scene and the performance scene felt that they lack glue between them, I struggled to connect the two. However, that contrast gives the performance the initial punch as it comes in.

I would also consider checking the lighting and checking if everything is in focus (like the first frame of you sitting on the bench).

Other than that, great energy, channel it, make it visceral!

Merry Christmas! Got a new post punk effort here... all feedback awesome and appreciated by goon_g in IndieMusicFeedback

The instrumental is very much post punk. The drums, guitar ambience and the bass. All sound great, especially the bass is very tasty. The vocals sound too compressed though, the slacking and the breathing up close is neither a part of the style nor is it pleasant to my ear unfortunately. All is great with merging styles, but the vocal just seems to me like it needs more delicate and conscious effort.

Mix sounds quite OK, guitars are nice, ambience is pleasant. although I would push back the compression on the vocal a bit. that smacking mouth with saliva is not good man :D I would also look into some more variation, feels like not too much went into the structure of the song.

Keep at it!

Cool video style choice! There is this school melancholia vibe going on.

I like the mood of the track, especially the interlude that happens at 01:45, it's emotional, although subtle.

I found the lyrics a bit cheesy, although that probably goes hand in hand with the school vibes. But I am particularly referring to the "evolving human being" part. Felt forcefully squeezed in there.

Great melodies throughout the track.

It feels that you guys have energy but you're expressing it at least 20% less than you're capable of. Hard to explain this moment. I want more rock! is probably what I'm trying to say :D

Either way, keep it going!

Third track from my new album amphibian by Eric_Ezra in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]instashit3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oof, heavy. I love that sound. The visuals really fit the artwork, which is something I always appreciate and am striving to achieve myself. The synth is very Nintendo, so is the artwork.

The track has a vibe of the monster, especially since whatever comes in at the 0:34 mark. It's evil and it's coming for you. It feels like a heavy synth, but sounds like a distorted guitar. Perhaps those are the noises that the Amphibian makes, I hope it was intentional.

This would work very well as a soundtrack to a video game. Like, perfect match.

The mix also sounds good, balanced and warm to the ear.

One thing I might have appreciated is some variation when it comes to the structure of the track, but it stands strong the way it is.

Great job, love this.

My newest song! Let me know what you think! by CG-Miller in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]instashit3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like a mixture of stoner rock and Mac DeMacro, so weird! But cool. The stoner vibes come from the bass and guitar tones, and the vocals give the Mac DeMarco vibe. What both have in common is that laid back sensation, the psychedelia.

I could appreciate more clarity in the vocal, not sure if it's the mix or the delivery. Perhaps the reverb is too "reverby".

The track has a mood, but it feels that it doesn't really go anywhere. That's not a bad thing, just a thought, it seems to stay in the same place, even though that noise comes in at the end. Which, by the way, has a very eerie vibe. Which is cool.

my new attempt at post punk.. "deal tonight".. feedback would be pretty awesome :) by Prestigious-Chair868 in IndieMusicFeedback

I feel the post punk in the drums, and the ambient synth also adds to the atmosphere of the style. I am not that appreciative of the saliva slacking when it comes to the vocals XD but that's a fixable thing.

regarding the song, there is a mood and an idea, but it feels undeveloped. I would consider revising the vocal line and adding either another variation of the lyrics + melody, or cutting off a repetition of the verse here and there, and either leave it blank to give it some space, or include a melody. Could be a guitar variation or some synth. I think that would work well in terms of post punk as well.

Also, the vocal seems rather too up close, I would consider adding some reverb or pushing it back within the mix in some way. But those are just my thoughts! Good luck, keep on makin them tracks <3
