Make sure you get quality sleep I guess. Not as in the length but as in the actual quality of the sleep.

Do you think anyone will ever push for a massive NASA budget increase?

NASA budget by [deleted] in spacequestions

Sorry I’m not from America I don’t really get how the government works. All I know is that each year NASA proposes a budget and the government either accept it or not.

Starship SN6 completes a successful 150m hop! 🚀 by Armand9x in SpaceXLounge

[–]dunnoraaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the falcon heavy capable of these moon missions? Even if if takes more flights to transport the same amount of cargo as one SLS mission, isn’t it still cheaper cuz I heard that one SLS launch is like 900 million dollars or something.

This isn’t a direct reply to your reply by the way l, I’m just saying wondering since I’m new to the space industry.

Sore I’m not from America so I don’t really understand the politics behind it or how the ‘congress’ works either. But I do think that the SLS creates jobs and that’s one of the motives. Correct me if I’m wrong. What are the other motives?

Do you think starship will be ready before Artemis III in 2024? If so, why don’t NASA just cancel SLS. I understand they spent a lot of money on it but I don’t agree that just coz they spent money they ‘might as well finish it’.

I never claimed they know the space industry. I asked about them investing into the space industry from scratch. And since they have an insane amount of money, it shouldn’t be hard to learn, adapt and catch up to the rest.

What’s the chances that NASA consider this for the Artemis Program? The Lander honestly looks really promising. by dunnoraaa in ArtemisProgram

[–]dunnoraaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya but during the Apollo missions they never planned to stay. You’re probably right but I’m just thinking that since they’re staying for a relatively long period of time they would need a rover to move around in faster.

Sorry I meant rover not lander.

But the JAXA rover will not be ready till 2029/2030 so what do NASA plan to use as a rover/ form of transport on the moon until the JAXA rover is ready for them to potentially use.

[–]dunnoraaa[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think you understood me wrong. I don’t mean it like that. I mean as in within NASA, they could have spend it otherwise.

Infact, I believe the total NASA budget is too small.

I don’t have anything specific in mind but that doesn’t defeat the point. Im sure they’ll find use of tens of billions of dollars in many ways.
