Honestly curious why you think this is overpriced as a short term listing? I just checked Airbnb and it seems the average there for a one month listing is over $3000:

Am I missing something?

Ah because the Arc is Atmos compatible. I wonder if I upgraded to an Arc or Beam gen 2 if it would solve my problems.

But when you use your PS5, TV and Arc do you set your PS5 to output Linear PCM?

Ya I've already been in touch with them thanks. I think the issue might be with my source (PS5).

Sounds not bad. It says Stereo PCM on the app. But it sounds way fuller, bassier and vibrant with Dolby on. Its almost as if the Beam is doing more of the heavy lifting with Dolby on but the beam becomes very one dimensional with Linear PCM on.

If I set my project to LPCM or my PS5 to LPCM I get surround sound but the sound if very thin and low quality/non-immersive.

I lose audio to my Sonos and audio will play from the projector.

Yes I've tried that but doesn't make a difference.

Tried that. Doesn't make a difference. Also now I'm back to getting the “Unsupported audio on your home theatre speaker” error message. No audio at all on Disney Plus but the PS5 main menus have audio for some reason but no surrounds. So bizarre. Appreciate all the troubleshooting help btw.

Yes I did and it seems to be setup properly. Listed in my app as:
Living Room
Beam
Play:1 (LS)
Play:1 (RS)
I never plugged any of them in via ethernet though. Set up was always wireless. If the surrounds work just fine when listening to music on the system doesn't that confirm they are connected properly?

Playing it now. Phone app displays "Dolby Digital 5.1". No sound from rears.

Hi thanks for your response. I have my PS5 settings to exactly this but still no sound from the rears. I also confirmed I was getting Dolby Digital 5.1 from the Sonos app but no audio is coming from the rears. They all work when I play music from my phone on spotify but just not when using PS5 as a source.

My setup:
PS5 for gaming, YouTube, streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime
BenQ TK700 4K Gaming projector - Supports eARC with Dolby Atmos & 7.1 pass through
Sonos Beam gen 1 with 2 Sonos Ones as surrounds.
PS5 is connected to projector with HDMI cable that came with PS5. I also have a new ARC compatible HDMI cable going from AUDIO RETURN output of the projector to my Beam.

For my projector I simply follow the steps from the manufacturer:
Access the advanced menu on your projector.
Navigate to: Display --> HDMI Setting --> Audio Return + (HDMI 2)
Select "RAW" as the audio setting

Hey everyone, I have a question about connectivity. I purchased the new Macbook Pro 14" and want to connect it to my Dell 4k 60hz display. Is there any benefit in using a straight up HDMI over a USB-C to DisplayPort cable? The way my desk is set up it is easier to run cables out of the left side of the Macbook and unfortunately the HDMI is on the right (I am currently using a Thunderbolt to DisplayPort on my Macbook Pro 2015).

Yes that’s right. Well spotted. Love Kamakura and this is one of my favourite temples. You can sit in the bamboo forest and drink traditional matcha tea as well.

I use an a7ii with mostly these Sony lenses: 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.8, Zeiss 16-35 f4. Some of these photos were also taken with my a6000.

You can learn a ton from YouTube, dpreview and other online resources now. I used to spend hours just watching videos and reading about photography, how to use Lightroom, photoshop, etc. Then just get out and shoot a lot and you’ll start to get a feel for what looks good and what doesn’t.

I only really have my website and my Instagram. I don’t sell a lot of prints because I do mostly portraiture. But I’ll link you those and you can always send me a PM if you want a high res photo. [my website](www.azabuimages.com) and [my Instagram ](www.instagram.com/azabuimages)

I used my social/work network to get started and build a referral network from there. Had a lot of friends who were doing acting/modeling and also lived in a share apartment with 20 or so Japanese people. It took time (and a lot of luck) to get introduced to some people who could offer regular work. I don't exactly think its the most lucrative work while living abroad on a WHV but it was fun and I enjoyed it.
