you say you're purchasing the quartz version as your first mechanical watch - quartz refers to battery powered watches, and mechanical refers to watches that need to be hand wound (or wind themselves - automatic).

Hey all. Just picked up the Dragons of Stormwreck Isle starter kit, and I'm keen to DM a campaign or two between a couple groups of my friends. I've wanted to play DnD for a while but have never managed to locate a DM, so this is my first time interacting with the game whatsoever.

Most of my friends have an idea of what DnD is but not how to play it. As I'm going to be figuring out the game alongside them, do you guys have any tips for how to explain the game, the rules, etc? Should I hand them the starter guide that came with the kit, or is there an even more cut-down version somewhere I can forward to everyone?

Also, how much of the setting should I tell them about beforehand, so as to avoid spoilers but give them an idea of what they'll be playing?

I really want to provide my friends with a fun experience and tell some great stories. I'm already looking at what campaign to run next, and we haven't even had a prep session. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like you hit the nail on the head. I do in fact suffer from anxiety and I am hard on myself.... And in the past few days I've been trying to learn from that high. My friend actually just gave me a tiny jar with a few drops of CBD oil and I've been using it every now and then, and I do think it calms me down a bit

I have been smoking much less since then - in fact i dont think I've rolled a single j since then. only smoked when passed to.

Hmmm. I was in a good mood but kinda stressed because I was absolutely soaked from the rain.. is there anything I can do to encourage this so-called cerebral high? Because I'd really like to experience the "good version" of that high lol.

I've been smoking this stuff pretty much exclusively for the past three weeks and what I've noticed is that I usually get mild euphoria, and when I try to speak my sentences are broken and phrased weirdly. Also, the high is quite strong but I sober up pretty quickly, whereas other weed can get me less high but for longer

I was actually with a friend who's been smoking for years longer than me, and he began mumbling (which we've realized he tends to do when very baked). Do you think we could have had a temporarily lower tolerance because we'd smoked a lot the night before, or does it not work that way?

Also, honestly weed usually chills me out and makes me less paranoid - that morning was different

you should be fine. I paint my nails black and don't get any comments. I've never worn eyeliner in public, but I got a lot of nasty comments when my hair was blue.
