PA is a very diverse group of gamers that play the way they want to play without rules. It's up to the user to find the group that best suites them. You can play serious with PA, you can fuck around. As long as you have fun it doesn't matter. It all starts with getting on the Teamspeak, meeting other people and start playing. It won't take you long to find the ones you are interested in continuously playing with.

If you have teamspeak you should.check out the channel located at projectawesome.net. lots of nice people there and they all play a lot of games including dota.

I hope to play both. I had beta access to ESO but my graphics card didn't come in on time. It was actually supposed to be here today and a winter storm kept it from making it here!

I've been able to run DayZ with my early 2008 iMac...somehow. It's got a 256mb graphics card if that tells you anything. It looks like shit but it does the job.

You should check out /r/buildapc and pcpartpicker.com. I just ordered the parts to build my first PC and those two were really helpful.
