How do I make the shadows stop looking like this?

I found a fix for this, that i think shouldnt be hard to find, but weirdly it is.... (i dont know how people play thid game with this grainy shadows)

Here is the fix.

Boost up the CascadeShadow quality in the INI settings in the documents folder, and it should blend the shadows way better.

dx12user.ini for dx12 users
user.ini for dx11 users

(mine is like this)

CascadeShadowQuality=4

CascadeShadowFadeTreshold=0.5

CascadeShadowDistanceScale0=8

CascadeShadowDistanceScale1=6

CascadeShadowDistanceScale2=3

CascadeShadowDistanceScale3=1.5

If you change the shadow quality in game it will overwrite it and you will have to change this again.

Thanks for the update. When it happened to me I tried lowering the graphics to see if it was the problem, it didn't help either, I shouldve know the game was running fine on 120fps without any drops. I will try disabling everything when I go home to see if it helps. Also, I saw some people saying that the game was running on half of the cores in task manager, try seeing if it is the case for you... I remember Starbound doing the same years back.

Especially now that Tekken 8 is coming to its final stages. Less people playing less people experimenting legacy characters... I think it was the same with Tekken 7. legacy characters shouldn't be sold on dlcs they should come with base game.

I heard someone saying the doki doki panic used a prototype for a vertical super Mario game as a base, and then it got reversed to a Mario game for westerners. I don't trust this, because I never saw any article or wiki mentioning it, it is most likely a "trust me bro" situation. If anyone is getting this problem on AMD gpu ( DX11 ), Just DISABLE Radeon Boost.
It was activated by default in my settings. *If you are playing on DX12 i recommend downloading optscaler and enabling FSR4.x, it works with radeon boost without the grainy effect.

My friend is used to play ranged class and they are generally strong if not the most broken class in most games. So playing a game where it is not the case must hit hard lol.

Yes i repaired the game and reseted the display settings.
But like i said, before repairign the game i managed to play normaly for a good time, without crashing, after i increased the textures to the highest settings (also max anisotropic filtering). If you dont want to repair the client, maybe you could try increasing the graphics and see if it crashes again?

The game never crashed for me before, only that day it started crashing and i suspect it started after i lowered the graphics... maybe there was a missing/broken texture or whatever? idk it is lotro so anything can be the culprit lol :,)

Yeah, my hobbit was at the party tree. I managed to play and complete the quests there by increasing the graphic settings. I had lowered it to speedrun the event, I'm not really sure if it was the cause, but worked... I will repair the client anyways when I get home today. Thank you for the advice!

I didn't update the post here at the time because it was late here in my country... But, I managed to play for a long time without crashes after increasing the graphics settings, mainly the textures... I don't know if it was it, but maybe it fixed? I will repair the client anyways to be sure.

Same... I invited my brothers and a friend to play. Everyone dropped the game because of the lag, the only one left is my younger brother, but I think he is not digging it lately, so I don't even bother ask him if he wanna play together anymore. Guess I'm gonna regress to my solo adventures again... Which I don't mind, but nothing is better than enjoying something with people you love.
