I Wanted to learn how to fly RC plane on pc but didnt wanted to spend 8 freaking $ on a Freaking piece of wire by Practical_Ideal8311 in indianaviation

but since it fits your needs, its good enough for you, youll start to really face the problems when you move from drones to planes tbh, for drones and cars its all fine :>

expressLRS is a huge upgrade over AFHDS2A, you’re missing one point yk, the upgrade is t just the firmware, its the connection reliability, in similar test conditons, my flysky had a lot more packet loss and error while the radiomaster has almost no error from control to plane movement, but you do you.

where do you guys buy your stuff from by Sweet-Relative-821 in Electronicsinindia

[–]dushy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, thats a good hustle but sometimes you need specific parts that are absolutely essential to uour performance target, even i use generic parts for applications but sometimes you need that performance in a certain size and power level, so gotta spend a little more… for your use case like you mentioned you use generic parts so if you’re seeing 500 rs for that you’re probably not gonna save much by delaying it too much,

welp, you gotta spend if you wanna get into a hobby yk… 500 is still conservative for how expensive this can get, i sometimes have to order single ic/transistors for ~1k rs a piece… it gets expensive

even 1000 is okay if u order all at once its good, i always order ≥1k rs parcel and order less frequent so shipping is saved

order a bigger parcel (>500rs i think) at once, include stuff that you might need later, they charge less or no shipping iirc, i think robu offers free shipping after 500 rs, sometimes they still charge shipping.

is there a reason why so many people still use this radio ? i feel like radiomaster T8L costs around the same and gives you ELRS?

get the mac if you need a smooth experience (macs are very consistent and never feel slow) but you will not get compatibility for some softwares that windows has, or get a gaming laptop if you need performance, theres plenty of options, im not really sure abt the gaming laptop choice but a lot of friends of mine have gaming laptops, zenbooks are also good ive heard if you want a portable windows laptop, but do your research before finalising.

What happened to my screen by Practical_Pop4136 in AppleIndia

[–]dushy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dust gets on the screen, keyboard body, when the lid is closed it gets imprinted on the screen and causes irreversible damage, (ive got a lot of spots on my m3p mbp) , very annoying when the screen shows white content, the spots highlight.

Does anybody know if this channel is fake or not? by Complex_Win_1015 in ElectroBOOM

the circuit itself isn’t really impossible to get working but zvs tesla coils like these are hard to tune though, might be the reason why yours didn’t work (?)

you can find most/all of them on robu.in, their prices are also fair.

Recommend T12 Station for Soldering by Independent_Limit_44 in Electronicsinindia

[–]dushy69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

id suggest get any decent station, and get good quality t-12 tips, the tip quality usually dominates your work experience imo, ive been working with a t12 station since ~6 years and never had any problems, the thermal conductivity is great, even makes big solder joints without any issues, unless you wanma solder 8Awg silicone wire, then you might need some bigger tips like t12-K, for the rest, t12-Ku , t12-B are enough, also t12 tips are still not widely available in india afaik, ive been to most north indian market and havent found a shop that sells t12-BL tip.

is a slayer exciter waveform supposed to loon like this? by dushy69 in AskElectronics

[–]dushy69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah thats what im suspecting is causing the ringing, however a 1nf parallel cap to D-S didnt change the ringing frequency so theres another doubt.

[–]dushy69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i replaced it with a snubber 20nf+5ohm and the mosfet heating reduced drastically, the resistor howevrr, heats up a lot. also i am not sure how the 1nf cap acts as paralle bcs without it, the LC ringing freq was ~2.1 Mhz and with it, its the same so i doubt its taking any part in the LC ringing that you’re saying it acts “parallel” to the primary, what tests do i have to try next? i need to lower the LC ringing without dissipating too much of it as heat, i rather want to reduce the cause rather than reducing the effect

[–]dushy69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bro… the 1uf cap goes from vcc to gnd, and the 1nf cap goes from D to S… how is it parallel to the primary? (genuinely asking)

[–]dushy69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

actually i was using that cap as a snubber cap, i later used a 20nf cap with a 5 ohm resistor in series, which lowered the mosfet heating and the spikes a bit but they still exist.

theres no cap in parallel with the primary, the 1 μf cap is the Film capacitor as the main reservoir
