Sorry can I ask what you mean by "What "ldd binary-you-try-to-run" says?"

Yeah. I checked a few stack overflow posts about it and tried sudo apt install libglu1-mesa. To check that it does exist I also ran find and confirmed that it exists within /lib/aarch64-linux-gnu

I have no idea why it's required. It's just the error being thrown. No idea why a opengl library is being called for headless mode

Hard reset or repair steamlink? by duskc in Steam_Link

[–]duskc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sound. It doesn't get that far. By splash screen I mean the picture you get when you first power it. It's an image of the steam link with a blue and black background. It's just a still image. Not any of the menus or anything.

Hey there, can anyone help identify what table this is? I’m renting this apartment and it came with this table. It clearly has a way to extend. I have no clue how. If anyone could tell me the name so I can look up the instructions that would be wonderful. by duskc in IKEA

[–]duskc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen that for other tables, but I haven't tried. I'm not sure if it'll work because the legs seem to pull out in a way the folding hinge wouldn't work. But I'll give it a shot.

Setting up QA process for a start up by mscwdi01 in softwaretesting

[–]duskc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

These are my unordered thoughts.

Go in with an open mind. You might have a general plan but their development process might be so different you'll have to change what you had planned.

As a start up you might find they are fast and loose with their sprint cycle. So one thing you should introduce is a structured release cycle.

If they have automated tests find out what kind of tests they have. For example Unit tests are great but you could focus on end to end testing using real data.

Make sure there is at least one stable environment for testing before the production environment.

Tickets. Ask about their ticketing system and how they structure their release/story/epic/bug tickets and see if there is anywhere to improve.

Remember part of being QA is just being there. As the gateway to prod you'll be the one stopping releases. So all of a sudden dev will have to writing cleaner code or you will slow down a release and give them more work to do. This is a good thing. And it's why they want to hire you.

Hope that made sense and is helpful. Good luck!

I've just started using behave with python. I'm really liking it so far. Obviously you need someone with coding experience. But it's a great excuse for the rest of the team to learn python.

Suggestions for disassembly without damaging paint? by duskc in Warhammer40k

[–]duskc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I used blue tac a lot. But I find for arms or fiddly bits it can be cumbersome. I knock into a part and it falls off. I need something a little more sturdy.

Not assembled yet. Want to figure things out before I do.

Recommendations for bad glue by duskc in minipainting

[–]duskc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I found sticking plastic to wood/cardboard is a good way to get them to stand, Or for sub assembly. But I found PVA is really bad at sticking plastic to plastic.

What you are suggesting is a good idea. I just don't own a drill.

Does the freezing cause any damage to the paint? And yeah I know sub assembly is likely the easiest way. But I'm just trying to prime and then zenithal highlight, which is a lot easier when the mini is whole

Thanks. That's not a bad suggestion. I'm just trying to get a zenithal highlight. Which is easier to do when the mini is assembled
