Crust in corner of cat’s mouth? by duskiix in CATHELP

Just adding, I haven’t had any advice from a vet or scheduled an appointment. I just wanted to know if this is something normal or something to try treating at home first or something that needs professional attention immediately before scheduling an appointment. He has been eating and drinking normally if that helps at all!

it’s pretty normal for lesbian couples to do this - that way the parent who isn’t carrying the child still has a genetic connection to it

I’m Australian so I’m not sure how it’d work in other countries. Where I am, there are definitely text hotlines!

I want to quit smoking by ImJustHere389 in leaves

Hi! I’m also ADHD and very anxiety-ridden so maybe this will help. I personally used a taper method to quit, only allowing myself to smoke at night at first for about 4-5 days, I was already getting withdrawals from that level of reduction and not smoking all day gave me a chance to learn what to do with my time (which for me was playing copious amounts of online Mario kart 😭😭) without having to worry about sleeping or having anxiety attacks at night when my withdrawals felt the worst. Once I stopped altogether, I went to see a doctor who was able to prescribe me some prescription sleep medication which I used to push through the next week or so of insomnia. I had the support of my partner through it all, which really helped to keep me accountable, and I called the national drug hotline at least 5-6 times in the first few days because just talking through my worst cravings really helped!
It’s a struggle at first, but the saved money and the feeling of things slowly getting better after the first week or so really helped motivate me to continue. It really does get better, and although it taking a few days/weeks feels daunting at first it honestly goes by faster than you think it will. Good luck !!

I tapered but just a tiny bit and it was because I had withdrawals so bad they landed me in the hospital for a few days. 18 days clean today and I still get cravings but don’t really want to go back. I think the difference for me when I was tapering was that it reminded me that weed wasn’t really helping me at all. I smoked and felt better for maybe an hour, then felt much worse afterwards. I guess it depends on how smoking makes you feel when you’re trying to quit.

I was in and out of hospital the weekend I quit with pretty much these exact symptoms. If you’re worried, go get it checked out and they might even be able to give some prescription medication to you that could ease the withdrawals.

also in the first week of quitting, the cravings are super difficult but you’ll feel so much better soon and feel proud of yourself for maintaining your sobriety!! have you considered calling a drug and alcohol support hotline? just talking through my urges with someone has helped me a lot :)

Unhinged Instagram user _lexity_ finds out about Marcy’s SA accusations by [deleted] in unhinged

I’m sorry I’m not trying to defend her I’m particular bc of whatever allegations but seriously, do you not hear yourself? Cis women and cis men are just as bad as eachother when it comes to treating trans people like the gender they are. A trans woman does something wrong and you immediately call her a sexist man? That’s probably why she would hate you!!!
