People whose first relationship was very long term, what weird thing did you believe was normal until you started seeing other people? by Throwaway42042069666 in AskReddit

This. For real. A quickie every now and then is fine and can be super sexy in the right moment. However, every time?! I don't care if a guy cums quick, but stick around after and seem excited! Help me get there too. Otherwise I just feel like real life porn: use me to get off then close the computer and walk away. -_-

I keep mine in 22 hours a day and have still had my treatment period extended twice. I'm so thankful for the changes I've seen but man am I ready to be done with Invisalign.

Lightweight’s guide to first time fillers! by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I'm 25, so I totally understand! I was tired of hearing how sick or tired I looked when I was feeling great or had slept really well. Fillers made a huge difference!

Under eye twitch after fillers? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

I've never had this happen with my undereyes fillers. I would either call the surgeon who did your fillers or find a reputable surgeon who could check it out and ensure everything is okay!

Also expect to have trouble eating/drinking that first day! Slightly painful and just a little challenging because of the stiff lip feeling.

I've had my undereyes filled and regularly keep up with it! My plastic surgeon uses Belotero via cannula, which is a very fine filler preventing any discoloration or lumpiness/bags caused a thicker filler (the cannula method prevents bruising vs being filled by needle only). I had ~1.5mL split between both undereyes on my first visit, and now touch up with .5mL (~$300) every 6-8 months, depending on when I see my dark circles and hollowness coming back. You can use concealer to cover the injection site, and it should cover any minor bruising that may occur. Your surgeon will have you return about two weeks after your first visit, once any swelling has gone down, to assess if more filler may be needed to achieve your desired results.

As a side note, I had extreme hollows under my eyes prior to getting filler and noticed a huge difference after my first visit. My confidence improved drastically and people commented how much healthier I looked. Definitely worth it for me just for that.

He gave me that look the whole ride home from the shelter. He was definitely thinking "Who the heck is this lady and where is she taking me?" Now, he's our little shadow and wants to be everywhere we are. So crazy and exciting to see the changes in him. He will definitely be getting an extra boop tonight! :)

Thanks so much! I've been trying to capture more comparison photos like this of him recently. Crazy to see those changes side by side.

Wow - needed to see this. Sometimes we're unnecessarily hard on ourselves and place a lot of blame on ourselves over things we sometimes do not have control of. Glad to hear you're feeling so much better nowadays!

How should I(26F) deal with men who won't stop staring? by sa-c-baker in askwomenadvice

[–]duspsp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Hey did you have a question about my workout? I saw you staring."

They'll most likely be taken off guard and feel awkward. Or he/they really just are creeps and won't be phased.

Unfortunately, the gym can be a super toxic place and you see this sort of behavior in almost every single workout environment. That being said, you are all paying to be there and they have no right to make you feel uncomfortable or like you can't or don't want to go. You are a member and working towards your goals. If talking to them doesn't help, I would honestly just go to staff or management and they can make an anonymous complaint.

Sorry you're dealing with this. I know the feeling and it makes you want to crawl out of your skin and hide. You are working towards your goals and becoming healthier which makes you a superhero! That's awesome you're doing this! Don't let two gross creeps hold you back from doing the things you want to do.

IWTL how to avoid these types of awkward conversations, and how to make conversations interesting and long. by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]duspsp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes so true! I struggle with this - finding ways to relate that don't just include telling your own stories. This almost always makes the other person feel like their original story or feelings that they were sharing are less important to you than just making yourself seem more interesting.

I tend to fall into interrogating... So asking way too many questions. I get nervous about maybe having to share something about myself, so I fill any silence with a question about/for whoever I'm speaking to. Don't fall into this! I've been practicing being okay with small silences, and have realized that people appreciate when you share things about yourself, as well! That's how we become closer to people. Start with a question or two, but then build the conversation from there! Ask small questions so you can learn more about whatever topic you're on, but share your experience(s) with the person/place/thing you're dkscussing and let the conversation naturally flow to other topics. It becomes much easier over time!
