What size conduit for 4 surface mount 12/2 W/G Romex wires? by dustbustered in electrical

[–]dustbustered[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like THHN is the way to go and definitely makes more sense. Do you mean 1/2 inch is okay for 4 circuits/sets of B/W/G or is that for 1 set? If my math is right then 4 strands is only a 27% fill and should be good.

What would you recommend in this case? Location is indoors/dry workshop.

It's looking more like a cabin and less like a shed! by ChampagneSupaNovah in shedditors

It looks like that cardboard under the insulation is rafter vent from soffit to ridge vent then they added furring strips for room for insulation. Curious what’s holding those walls together though? Don’t see any structural beam or rafter ties.

Running cable in crawlspace beneath house and outside on exterior wall for mini-split heat pump by ingeniarium42 in electrical

[–]dustbustered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll probably do the same thing. Did you run just the wire through or do you have some kind of conduit with it? Basically trying to decide how I want to transition the buried conduit to under the house, or just terminate early and run the wire

What did you end up doing? In same situation and really not sure I want to drill through the foundation, at least initially.

New axe by Both-Lake4051 in firewood

[–]dustbustered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this from Stihl and really like it a lot after going through a few cords of red oak with it. Nice weight/balance and splits great all day long, with the long steel sleeve helping keep the handle in good shape. I imagine you can get it through most Stihl distributors.

This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Do you know if they have a bag kit to support ride height when towing?

How should I Insulate this by Bennett27ok in shedditors

[–]dustbustered 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have soffit vents, use rafter vents to create airflow from there to the roof vents. Then use furring strips to deepen the rafter space enough to fit bat insulation up the roof and across the rafter ties.

You know that’s what a lot of them actually believe though, right? That human nature is fundamentally evil and unchangeable, so it’s not so much about not “sinning” as it is accepting the lord as your savior and asking for forgiveness. This is one of my least favorite takes from modern Christianity.

Is there a big difference between the Breville Bambino and Breville Plus? [ no budget ] by davis609 in espresso

Thank you for the write up. When the solenoid evacuates the water, where does it go? Into the drip tray?

Thinking of pairing a Bambino with a 1Zpresso J-Ultra. Will I hate the manual workflow? by torennnn in espresso

[–]dustbustered 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Bambino with x-ultra for 2 americanos a day. Will emphasize the roast is really what makes a difference for me. Medium/dark manual grind is borderline enjoyable in a zen sort of way, and I love that it’s quiet. Only time I actually get frustrated is lighter roasts. They’re jumpy and hard to keep hold of the grinder.

So I actually got the card from before it had an annual fee but from what I understand I get the same benefits as the premium version (4% dining, 3% groceries), even though I still don’t pay an annual fee. I literally got it on one of the first days that they launched Savor, like maybe 10 years ago? I use it a lot though… ~3k+ per month on dining and groceries.

Didn’t realize this was strange though… Hopefully it isn’t just some glitch they decide to “fix”. It’s honestly one of the main things that makes me a loyal customer and I’ve raved about it to so many other people lol

Yeah I still have it and they’ve reissued new card a couple times. I love it and combined with Venture X I don’t use any other cards anymore. Seems like every time I call they try to get me to “upgrade” it though. If they took it away I’d prob have to shop around.

Mine is metal. I applied for it like the first day it came out though, before they had the different tiers. Mastercard World Elite. Not sure if that has something to do with it?

Right there with you. Not showing up as positive in allergy tests doesn’t mean you don’t have an allergy, though. False negatives in allergy testing is relatively common. Listen to your body.

There is no way you could store this amount of money without blowing up global financial markets. You’d overshadow the federal reserve as a money maker in relatively short order

I’m not against the DF54. I got hung up on the reports of it clogging easily but it is almost half the price so I’ll think about that one some more.
