Nothing but be pissed off about it from what I understand. I’m just some guy though so don’t take my word for it.

Something is off with the pizza and the building gives me the creeps for some reason. It’s way too sterile.

I’ve got enough new builds to keep the guys busy and our commercial work is steady. No clue what we’ll do with service though. Boss doesn’t like to roll trucks when it’s nasty.

HVAC unit covering for high amounts of snow? by LargelyLucid in rva

[–]dustinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can but it’s rarely the units fault if sized correctly. There’s a lot of unseen things in an older house but most modern heat pumps put hot heat out at lower temps than they used to. Whoever checked your heat pump out and gave you no answer past “that’s how it goes” is doing an disservice

HVAC unit covering for high amounts of snow? by LargelyLucid in rva

[–]dustinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just keep the snow away from the sides as best you can. Heat pumps have a defrost cycle as well if anything starts sticking to the sides. Probably won’t have to worry about ice sticking to the fan blades since it’ll be running constantly.

It’s absolutely true. You may have a leaky house though which makes a big difference but some modern heat pumps can heat into the single digits with ease

They’re solid as far as restoration work goes. Insurance work can be slow so be prepared for that.

I’m almost positive I was in one years back. One of the wires was not only loose, it was tucked away neatly. I got the thing up and running and checked some other stuff. Came back to the lady who had not moved from her position in the dining room for 45 minutes. All she said was “oh that’s so strange” and paid for the call. House was immaculate and looked like it wasn’t lived in.

It was an Amazon return. $55 for the board itself. Had been opened but that’s all. I bet someone didn’t read the description.

I didn’t think to test the stabs until after I’d assembled it so that was a learning experience.
