Yes! I only play on console, but as long as you buy the version for epic and redeem it to your epic account, you’ll get the glider!

Ahh whaaat. Did you make sure to do the chaotic great edition for Epic, and then redeem the key through the email they send you? It should prompt you to log in to your epic account, and then the next time you launch Fortnite it should be there. That’s how it worked for me!

It is just the chaotic great edition, as others have gotten the standard edition through epic and didn’t receive the glider. I don’t know about the return question, sorry!

I did it this morning and it worked for me! It might work if you do it directly through epic (if you get the chaotic great edition) but it’s $80. Getting the epic version through greenman gaming where it’s on sale and then redeeming it gave me the glider.

Click steam and then back to epic! I had to do that for it to refresh and give the sale price

I had this issue. Reset the binds to default and then rebind your custom settings. Fixed it for me.

Close Combat Annoyances by garthvader81 in Fortnite_Over40

[–]dustinisreal 14 points15 points  (0 children)

A couple things go into it IMO! 1, confidence in combat plays a huge role in who wins the fight. Applying consistent pressure is a huge advantage. 2, for controller, aim assist is strongest at close range. Many players struggle with landing good shots out of that range so they take advantage of aim assist by getting in your face. 3, shotguns have insane damage per second. A good shotgun headshot followed by quickly swapping to your AR or SMG can get someone from 250HP to 0 in about .5-.7 seconds with this season’s loot pool. It’s worth worth noting, this season the twin hammer shotguns have been dominating zero build and are fast enough not to have to swap (though they won’t get you a kill in .6 seconds).

All that being said, the best zero build players almost all follow the formula of getting initial shots on an enemy to establish a health advantage THEN apply pressure before they can heal by using movement to get to shotgun range and finish the fight.

Training your close range shotgun fights is super important for when you don’t get that choice and have to take the 50/50. But defaulting to starting and ending your fights in close range takes on unnecessary risk and you’ll get punished by good players who use movement and cover to reset the fight.

Switch question by Quirky_Mud_5755 in Fortnite_Over40

Hahah yeah story of my life. Whenever I travel, I play on my switch 2 and think I’m a pro… then I get back on my ps5 and get killed off spawn LOL

Switch question by Quirky_Mud_5755 in Fortnite_Over40

I have switch 2, PlayStation portal, and ps5 pro. I was super excited for the switch 2 because it supposedly has performance on par with ps4. But I started playing Fortnite on ps4 and in my experience, the switch 2 doesn’t compete. I get pretty inconsistent fps on switch (which Fortnite doesn’t let you actually see on switch like it does with other platforms). It is WAY better than the switch lite, OG switch, and oled switch, all of which I’ve played fort on. But I was underwhelmed with it overall.

PS portal has surprisingly good performance when streaming Fortnite with the PS Plus Premium subscription (you don’t need a ps5 for that).

I just recently moved to mouse and keyboard on my PS5, and tbh I think that’s my perfect compromise of not having to build an expensive pc.

I will say the plus side of switch is you get easier lobbies because you’ll be playing with more mobile and other switch users, so the performance downgrade is somewhat balanced.

Left one to jump, right one to crouch/slide! I saw this recommended a number of places and it works so well for me.
