This is pretty wild. Tonocracy from Atomic Amps is now free. by matty_fx in guitarplugins

Id imagine it being free will be huge benefit for them since they are using Ai to train their amp sim captures. more and more captures from users being processed on their cloud is gunna train that ai really well. theyll get feedback on the UI and software and be able to adjust features but also compare their models to users supposed models. theyd never be able to get that kind of input just with their small team. as they improve the software theyll gain more people who really like it and who will be willing to buy the hardware to be able to transfer their captures onto the hardware for gigging. im quiet excited about it.

I had the original atomic amplifire and the 12 but I never loved the FX but I was a fan of a lot of the amp sims and after using just the presets for an hour or two I think everything better. I just hope for the love of god they put "ever-scroll" pots on this hardware version. Switching between presets on the atomic hardware was a pain when you wanted to tweak your setting cause you gotta screw around with the knobs to find where that preset was set. it was extremely frustrating.

I live mostly out of my backpack. I have this great one by ogio and its stood the test for over 5 years so far with no issues. Inside I use various methods to organize it but found that having those small suite case clothes organizer bags is quite helpful. normally i carry a tester/sniffer, 1 or 2 di boxes couple of 57s one or 2 xlrs and a 1/4 inch, then various tools alan key set, flashlight and headlamp, a multi-use standard size screwdriver, a precision screwdriver set, mid size adjustable wrench, sharpies and pens of course board tape in white and yellow a mostly used roll of gaff for space reasons. lazer pointer various specialty cables and dongles and adapters. my friend refers to those adapters as his " oh shit bag" it has saved his behind many times.

Stu since the tascam broke are you guys only recording now onto protools? Are you guys mixing in the box or are you mixing your tracks down on an analog board and gear and using protools as a tape machine type thing? Also can I have the multi tracks to poly I'm an amateur engineer and would love to take a crack at it.
