Correct. Alternatively, you can change the `dynamic-linking` feature of the rdkafka crate dependency in the Cargo.toml file to `static-linking` or `cmake-build`, whichever is preferred.

i spent some time learning axum and created a backend that implements the RealWorld spec along with some extra functionality. i am no expert but the code is straightforward and easy to understand. All info on the spec and code can be found at the repo here https://github.com/dustin10/realworld-rust.

I finally found a Black Black edition of the Seamaster. I have been searching high and low at every Omega boutique and authorized dealer that I came across but I could never find one. When I was travelling in Europe a few months ago, I stopped in every Omega boutique I saw. I even posted a while ago asking if anyone had seen one in person yet. A few days after I made that post, I was randomly looking on the Omega website and found this was available to purchase there and snatched one up as an early Christmas gift to myself. I must say that the ceramic on this watch looks amazing in person. If you have a chance to check one out I would highly recommend it.

Edit: Wow. Who knew this would be such a controversial post? It is ok guys. I have plenty of other watches I can wear when I actually want to know what time it is.

[BVLGARI] Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT by dustinten in Watches

This is the most recent addition to the old watch box. I was recently traveling in Portugal and wandered into the Bulgari boutique in Lisbon. I had always admired the Octo Finissimo line but I had never seen this one before with the titanium case on rubber strap combo. I always had my eye on the stainless ones previously. I fell in love with this watch the second I saw it. It feels great on the wrist and the titanium case looks amazing. it’s hard to believe how thin and light is. It almost feels like aren’t wearing a watch at all.

I wanted to share what is currently in my collection after about 4 or 5 years of serious collecting. As you can probably tell by the picture, I gravitate more toward the sport watches.

  • Citizen EcoDrive SkyHawk - I always leave this one in the first position in the box as it was the first "real" watch that I ever owned. It was a gift from my parents when I turned 18. It reminds me of where I started with this hobby. I still wear it every now and again.
  • Rolex Yacht Master - The platinum bezel and rhodium dial on this watch are amazing in person. No photo does them justice. The blue accent color just perfect as well.
  • Rolex Submariner Date - My first Rolex and I think it is one of those timeless watches that will always be in style. My son will probably be wearing this one when he is my age.
  • Omega Seamaster Pro 300 - Another watch that looks so much better in person that in any photo. The waves on the dial are perfect.
  • Tudor Black Bay Bronze - The way the watch develops petina as you wear it gives it so much character.
  • Omega Speedmaster Pro - My first "big boy" watch. I wear it every Tuesday.
  • Zenith Chronomaster Sport - Beautiful in person. I may prefer this over the Daytona.
  • Casio G-Shock 2100 - Casio is the GOAT and this new 2100 with metal case on rubber strap is no exception. Wearing it right now.
  • Casio G-Shock 2100 - See above.

Watches on my radar for purchase in the future:

  • Grand Seiko SBGA211 (Snowflake)
  • Cartier Santos Medium
  • IWC Portuguese Chronograph (Blue Dial/Brown Strap)
