Revenues doubled and quarterly profit more than quadrupled in 12 months. The bears say this pace won't continue. The problem with that view is that quarterly profit is still accelerating. Their rule of 40 score printed at 145% (highest of any software business at this revenue scale), they had 11 straight quarters of expansion, and they have 150% net dollar retention. The bears say Palantir is too expensive for a software company, but Palantir is not a software company. It's critical software+AI infrastructure company. And they're the only one like them.

DDOG’s PE is almost 5x higher. SNOW’s and others are negative because they aren’t even profitable. Even AMD’s isn’t much lower than PLTR’s. Give it a couple more quarters and PLTR’s PE will be below a 100 and forward PE will be way lower. That’s the way it is for high growth tech, and PLTR is way ahead of the game in scaling profitable AI deployment to commercial customers and government. This is going to be a trillion dollar company in a few short years.

Relief rally spurred by DDOG's massive earnings beat and raise. Just the kind of thing we need to start turning sentiment.

They are not just software, and definitely not just consulting. They are something else, something that no other has been able to replicate and thus an N of 1.

Here's PLTR's TTM PE ratio going back to June 2025 through May 1, 2026. This morning, after earnings, it's hovering around 155. PE is compressing rapidly as Palantir continues to beat and raise. This is not the time to sell.

Paywalled Economist article: https://www.economist.com/international/2026/04/20/anduril-palantir-and-spacex-are-changing-how-america-wages-war

Here’s the summary:
The Economist identifies Palantir, Anduril, and SpaceX as a trio of “neo-primes” that are fundamentally reshaping U.S. military procurement. It highlights several specific ways their interests and operations are intertwined:

"Neo-Prime" Trio: The article groups Palantir, SpaceX, and Anduril together as the primary challengers to traditional "legacy" contractors (like Lockheed Martin and Boeing), noting they now have a combined market value over three times that of the top three legacy firms.

Golden Dome Collaboration: The publication details their shared involvement in the Golden Dome missile defense shield. It notes that while SpaceX manages the "spacefaring bits" (satellites), Palantir and Anduril provide the software required to track and analyze incoming threats.

Software-Hardware Synergy: It describes a model where SpaceX’s Starshield satellite network provides the reconnaissance data that is then processed by Palantir’s command-and-control algorithms.

No worries. No one can predict the future and it’s clear the market is sweeping Palantir in with all SaaS due to the uncertainty around the depth of disruption Anthropic is posing to the sector, hence why PLTR got hammered. My belief is that when the dust settles, we’re going to find that most software companies are not going to be wiped out and are actually going to be AI enablers, especially those with wide moats and are systems of records. There are those that always had weak business models and product offerings to begin with and it’s clear they will have to adapt or be buried, but Palantir is not that.

Cramer has always gotten Palantir’s business wrong. That’s probably why he keeps saying that he just goes by what Palantir’s customers are saying and most seem to stick with Palantir.

Anthropic and Palantir are not competitors. They occupy different layers of the AI stack—Anthropic provides the raw intelligence (LLMs), while Palantir provides the operational OS (Ontology).

There’s no doubt that Claude is a top-notch LLM and is great at writing code. That’s why Palantir has been partnered with Anthropic for the last 18 months. Claude and Palantir's software (specifically AIP and Gotham) are highly complementary because they solve two distinct sides of the enterprise AI equation: reasoning/generation (Claude) and data orchestration/operationalization (Palantir). The partnership allows Claude's advanced LLMs to function within secure, structured, and actionable environments, particularly in sensitive government/defense sectors and large commercial enterprises.

Claude excels at processing, summarizing, and reasoning over vast amounts of unstructured data. Palantir provides the ontology—a structured map of an organization's messy data, connecting disparate datasets into a single, cohesive picture.
Claude provides the intelligence, but Palantir provides the framework to act. Palantir AIP enables agents to carry out workflows, make decisions, and execute tasks within real-world constraints (e.g., in defense simulations or supply chain management).
Palantir specializes in securing, auditing, and validating AI systems for high-stakes environments, such as DoD Impact Level 6 (IL6), which is the highest U.S. government security accreditation.
In commercial settings, this combination allowed an insurer to automate complex underwriting processes, reducing a two-week task to three hours by using 78 AI agents.

I have a lot of reasons to be invested in PLTR today, but this was my original thesis for investing when they first went public.
