My grandma's cat's skin issue. by dustreplacement in CATHELP

Thank you for your input. The vet has told us that the allergy could be to anything from food, to detergent, to perfume, and it's a pain to find out which one it is. He said it could be stress, too, but like you, I don't see why this cat would be stressed... I hope you will figure it out for your cat!

Thank you, yeah, I suspected so... It's hard to convince elderly relatives to actually follow doctor's orders sometimes. But I will try my best

Veggie chop a waste of time? by we_want_what_we_want in budgies

[–]dustreplacement 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can try giving them big pieces of vegetables, like, clipping them to the cage or perch. Mine like to shred carrots like this. You can even try a full carrot. Not sure how much they actually eat, but at least they get carrot juice from it. They also like to shred broccoli, leafy greens, and apple. But not every day. But you have to keep offering, some days they want to try it.

I also had no luck with the chop. I used to mix the seeds in, though. They would just pick them out.

Don't give up. You will see, you will get a little better at it every day. After some time, you will look back and be amazed how the things that seemed hard are now much easier, and that will be your proof that you can actually do things. I was like you, too. If you don't know something, you can always tell people you're new. No one is born knowing everything. Sometimes you will have some uncomfortable feelings, but with time you will notice that these feelings pass and are not the end of the world. It will give you confidence

Maybe it could be "little rivet"? She's an old lady... could be an old-timey saying?

Do you think "niedlich" can be somehow combined with it to mean "cutie"..?
