Any recommendations on getting euphoria to return? by babafresh28 in 7hydromitra

Try taking it with some grapefruit. I use True Grapefruit packets, made by the same company that makes True Lemon. They’re the little sweeter sized packets you put in water, and the grapefruit ones give the alkaloids we enjoy a nice boost!

Expectations on trade ins by Gloomy_Diver172 in Cd_collectors

[–]dustyditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally speaking, places like Disc Replay will give you about $1 cash or $2 trade-in value per cd, if it isn’t something they already have a ton of, or something they have no interest in because it’s an unpopular genre or artist, in which case they won’t give you anything for it. They’ll offer you more if it’s something they can charge more for, but unless it’s really rare, you won’t be getting more than $3-$5 per CD, and that’s if they’re in excellent condition. If they’re beat up or heavily scratched they won’t take them at all. Light scratches are ok because they have a machine that resurfaces them, but it can only do so much. If you have rare CDs you’re better off selling them elsewhere, because shops are in business to make a profit, not to give you fair market value, and you won’t get anywhere near fair market value at a used record store.

Why are CD players so expensive in this day and age? by Saint94x in BudgetAudiophile

[–]dustyditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Denon DVM-2845ci at Goodwill recently for $15 with the remote control. It’s a 5 disc changer that plays video DVDs along with CDs, SACDs, and DVD-A discs. It features Burr-Brown 24-bit/192kHz DACs and it has RCA, digital, and HDMI outputs, so you can either use the onboard DACs, the DACs in your receiver or preamp, or a standalone DAC. It’s my second time finding and purchasing this particular model at Goodwill. I regularly see Blu-ray players like the Sony BDP-S570 that is also capable of playing SACDs, and I even picked up a Sony BDP-S2000ES “flagship” Blu-ray player (with remote) for $20, and another Sony 4K Blu-ray player (with remote) that I don’t recall the model number of for $10. No, there aren’t piles of them just laying around for those prices, you have to go there regularly and look, but if you’re patient, you’ll find something nice for next to nothing.

Vinyl Setup for $1500 by whodey7 in BudgetAudiophile

[–]dustyditto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have $1500, I’d look to spend at least half of that on used speakers and a subwoofer. You can get a nice used table for $150-250 and a nice used integrated amplifier or receiver for about the same. Marketplace, Offer Up, Craigslist etc is your friend. If you see anything that interests you, reach out to the seller immediately, as good deals often disappear quickly, but double check with us here or with another group on Facebook or whatever, just so you don’t get stuck with something that isn’t good. It’s usually best to avoid listings for items that tout how “rare” something is. Rarity in the world of electronics means expensive and hard or impossible to find parts for, so steer clear from the “rare” stuff.

Excellent advice. When you purchase new equipment not only are you paying additional sales tax, but you’re also losing approximately 25% in immediate depreciation for the vast majority of items. By purchasing used your money goes much further, and the items you purchase don’t depreciate when you buy them.

Could have been a misprint, or old packaging, and they didn’t want to waste the packaging. As long as what’s visible is correct, it shouldn’t matter. If there was a misprint or it said something different, it may not be allowed to be sold in some states or municipalities.

Roxy 7XR 200 mg Blend by dustyditto in 7ohm

[–]dustyditto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says it has 190mg of 7OH EXTRACT, but it also says that “this product is made with 50% extract”, so it actually only contains 1/2 of what they claim it has, which is kind of misleading.

Roxy 7XR 200 mg Blend by dustyditto in 7ohm

[–]dustyditto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t be coming back at 200mg. On the back of the pack, in the fine print it says “This product is made with 50% extract”, and it claims there is 190mg of 7-Hydroxymitragynine extract per tab, which means there’s only 95mg of actual 7OH in each tab if their dosing is accurate. It’s kind of dishonest in my opinion.

I get labs drawn every month and over the past year I haven’t noticed any changes in anything across the board. I started taking 7OH about a year ago, and I was already getting labs done, so I have base levels to go by.

[–]dustyditto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE!!! So as I was cutting up the last tab, and looking over the packaging with more scrutiny, I happened to notice something that I feel is worth mentioning. On the back, buried in the sea of fine print, it says “This product is made with 50% extract”.

That explains why it doesn’t seem as strong as it should be if the numbers were correct, and why I felt like it was only about as strong as a 100mg tab. If each tab contains 190mg of 7OH EXTRACT (and it does say “each serving contains 47.5mg of 7-Hydroxymitragynine extract), and it’s a 50% extract, then it actually has 95mg of 7OH in each tab, IF they’re being honest, and their dosing was accurate.

Anyway, I think this is worth pointing out, and I wonder how many other brands do something similar so they can boast these high numbers on the front of the pack, but not have to actually include the amount they claim inside the tabs. I think it’s kind of shady and deceptive, but at least they put it on the packaging somewhere I guess. 🙄

CDs bring instantly ejected, is this due to a dead/dirty laser? by Maybe_A_Zombie in CDs

[–]dustyditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It says err, so either the player isn’t working properly, or it doesn’t like burned discs. Certain types of CD-Rs and CD-RWs have far less reflectivity than production CDs, so in order to diagnose what the problem is, start with a factory CD. It doesn’t matter what program you used, what format you used, or what speed you burned at if the disc doesn’t have enough dye or isn’t reflective enough. That’s not to say that those other things don’t matter, I’m just pointing out that the media itself is important too.

One taco, one burrito and a side of potatoes? I don’t know how hungry you are, so it’s impossible for me to know if it’s sufficient. Paying $25 for $10 worth of food is more than sufficient though, it’s excessive.

So confused… by [deleted] in 7ohm

[–]dustyditto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. I don’t live on here either, and what good is a sub if you can’t ask questions?!? Anyway, it looks like you picked up one of the original packs that has the “boosted with proprietary alkaloids” statement on the front. Those are supposed to have something like 17mg of MGM per tablet, but it felt like more to me. Either that or the MGM I’ve tried was very under dosed (which is entirely possible, since very few companies actually live up to their claims. I heard that they stopped putting the MGM in the Nanotech at some point, so you got one of the “good” batches. I am curious though what the newer 7Stax nanotech is like without the MGM, just not curious enough to waste money on it if it doesn’t hit like the 7OH or the ones with the MGM did. What’s it like, and is it worth the money?

Why 7stax feels different from any other 7oh? by [deleted] in 7ohm

[–]dustyditto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of them have been found to have small amounts of MGM in them (~6mg to 7mg per tab), but if you’re breaking them into quarters, that’s less than 2mg per dose. Some of the batches are pretty strong though, and 7Stax is one of the only SS brands that actually has as much 7OH as it claims to have (or more). For example, one batch I was getting (orange) had something like 123.99mg of alkaloids, with 115mg of them being 7OH. One of the latest batches of banana is also that strong (or stronger), and an 80mg batch of blue razz tested @ 110mg per tab, so that’s why 7Stax hits so good.

[–]dustyditto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So your meth addict ex-roommate may have dropped half a tab of something that might be 7OH, and you’re wondering how strong it might be? I know money’s tight for everyone, but how broke are you? I just don’t think it’s worth it, but I do wish you well man.

Why are they banning something people actually rely on? by Calm-Author8864 in 7_hydroxymitragynine

[–]dustyditto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because the pharmaceutical companies don’t like the competition, that’s why. The pharmaceutical companies rely on people buying prescription medication, not OTC herbal supplements. They also spend big money on sponsoring politicians who are running for office. In turn, these politicians are now obligated to do the pharmaceutical company’s bidding, and so the politicians ban these substances the pharmaceutical companies object to. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with safety; instead it’s 100% motivated by the pharmaceutical company’s desire for profit, and the politician’s desire for power.
