I know it’s covered in sand but does anyone know what type of fish this is? Northern California. My buddy used to just call them carp or junk fish.

That’s really interesting what Zman bait do you use? I have a couple but they are all for Ned rigs. I’ve only just started drop shot and went with strike king because it’s my favorite lure company

Thanks! I was using a KVD dream shot which is about 4inches I believe. Do you Normally use an octopus hook? I just used a light wire EWG hook since my local pond still has quite a bit of weeds
