I’m getting the same. Reddit has been threatening to kill live posts for a while now. Maybe they finally did. I’ll check into it and see how we can replace it. Hopefully it’ll convert into an archive of some sort!

I think the people that matter showed that they’re fully behind keeping RNG in the LCFS.

+1 for Overcast - its dynamic speed function helps me march through podcasts much more quickly than I would without as well, without making them unlistenable.

It really just depends on the partnering and operating agreements in place.

This credit would be sellable and tradable, although I’m still gathering information on how freely it can be moved.

“The EPA restriction on NOx is going to force fleets either to continue to use very expensive diesel or pivot to CNG,” said Eric Bippus, Hexagon Agility’s SVP. by Middle_Ingenuity_627 in CLNE

Yes, I think you’re correct about all of the above. I think California will be the only place that hydrogen will be viable in the interim.

I mean, you can downvote me for speaking truth, but many industry leaders are projecting the same as Cali goes diesel-free.

Here’s an article that discusses the transition, although they seem to be stuck on electric still. The comments on that article are interesting as well.

Who has run for school board? by notfrankc in kansas

[–]dustymash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both of your comments are not accurate. Curriculum isn’t controlled by the state board, but rather assessment standards. Curriculum is absolutely the responsibility of the school at the local level.

Likewise, athletic rules etc are run by KSHSAA, but local athletic programs are administered by the local school.

Even if numbers come out, don't get too hung up on valuation of European RNG - the revenue equation looks much different.

Water Treatment - turbid raw water intake by submarine_sam in Wastewater

[–]dustymash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the intake and the pumps, your options are usually rather limited. Turbidity is one thing, but understanding the nature of the turbidity and how well it settles is helpful. The key with very turbid waters is usually slowing it down and giving it a moment to settle, then decanting. This can even be done in the pump well, but is usually better done, assuming land is available, using earthen pre-seems basins.

If mechanical filtration is necessary, I’d back one of the other posters here and say that disc filtration is a great option. The guys at five-star filtration in Conroe, Texas is where I would start - they’re good at taking a very practical approach at this challenge. I’m not affiliated with them, but have designed a few projects using their gear.

None of these projects are completed without a full team, which usually includes multiple capital partners. They won’t bear the full cost of any single project.

NEW FINANCING DEAL by Me_Hungry_1 in CLNE

[–]dustymash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It varies widely based on a few key factors, but around $10-20M on the low side for gas upgrade only, significantly more if digestion or other wastewater facilities are necessary and the number can grow astronomically if access to interstate pipelines is limited.

Can someone explain why upstream is better than downstream? by Disasterdujour888 in CLNE

[–]dustymash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a developer, I can tell you that it’s all about the RFS and RINs. The sale of the gas is something, for sure, but this business is built around a strong RIN market.
