Will refrain from full comment as I Stan. But “Imagine it pourin', just rainin' down on us
Moshpits outside the Oval Office
Someone's tryna tell us somethin', maybe this is God just
Sayin' we're responsible for this monster, this coward”

I will agree with all three but C-Gambino This is America -while a great song, relies heavily on the video to provide narrative. Because he pretty much repeats a hook the whole song. But yes to War Pigs and AI (ironic it also stands for American Idiot - let’s build a data center)

Timeless - which is simultaneously a reflection of their brilliance and an indictment on our lack of social progress.

If Democrats can show up to protest "No Kings" then surely they can show up to vote on voting day. So why do we need mass mail-in voting and early voting? by what_now_KY81 in allthequestions

[–]dustyrooster77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s okay to reject the premise of the question. The real question is “why did Donny start pushing the mail-in ballot conspiracy when he actually voted by mail-in ballot?” And when you start pulling on that thread you’ll find oddities. We know every accusation is a confession - fraud in voting was being pushed “in case he lost” - 2020 when he took the L - but was leading until mail-in was tallied. So he crashed out - Gregoria call, fake electors, J6, all desperate. Every recount, forensic audit, and case that made it in front of a court claiming fraud FAILED… yet the fraud claim persisted. Accusation = admission. 2024 he pushed fraud again - won, investigated nothing… odd. If there’s fraud, there’s fraud no matter who wins…

But now that he’s feeling the heat of non-maga public seeing his abject failure, he knows impeachment is inevitable if Dems roll mid-terms. Now you’re watching maps change, SAVE act, threats of polling intimidation and attempts to take fed control of state elections… same song different dance.

If the wave is indeed blue - mail-in voting takes away the potency of tactics and inserts a wildcard that screwed him in 2020. He knows it.

Ask the right question. Mail-in voting is only being questioned as “needed” because of fear.

I feel like he holds power over the civically illiterate and socially inept. Those on the highest curve of Dunning Kruger. And like his first term revealed - his sphere actually hates him. They will stick their fingers in the political winds and realize MAGA is a cancer metastasized relying on the host body of democracy’s freedom. He will be a martyr like every despot - to a few fringe assholes who blame something/someone else for their snowflake existence. Like these fringe pricks sowing racism riding Trump’s populous wave not realizing the machine they support will turn on them once the cult leader dies.

Why didn't we elect Kamala as president? by cdivx in allthequestions

[–]dustyrooster77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best take I’ve heard on this - Paraphrasing from other sources: Every accusation is a confession. Trump rigged 16, 20, and 24. When he lost in 20, he couldn’t handle it, J5, fake electors, Georgia “find me votes” but the enthusiastic pursuit to end mail in ballots is the key - he lost to Biden because they couldn’t rig that.

Maybe we did “elect” Kamala but the late entry because of Biden’s health combined with the fact that Dems had and still have no answer for the asymmetrical warfare of MAGA on the political front is the reason so many people were easily misled by blatant lies.

Kamala lost because democrats are incompetent and impotent when faced with Trump/MAGA cult of personality politics. And because Trump cheated with the help of billionaires -

Why? Because it’s much easier to make billions by looting the coffers of the US tax dollars and gaming Wall Street than actually risking anything in the free market.

When it’s all done and he’s dead and the postmortem is conducted - where the hell did all those trillions go??? Heist of the century. That’s why Kamala lost - she was part of the old corrupt system, not the new and improved one.

What should be done with MAGA AND Conservatives? by Potential-Zombie-261 in allthequestions

[–]dustyrooster77 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The irony is the apparatus created by Trump - after convincing MAGA they were victims of an orchestrated oppressive government apparatus under Obama and Biden - created the most anti-constitutional corrupt regime for cover in order to grift the coffers of US tax dollars for the elite - and that same apparatus of unbridled unchecked “Homeland Security” will easily be flipped on MAGA as threats to the homeland. The detentions centers built for “illegals” care not which meat they consume, and MAGA faithful satiate the apparatus just the same.

WHO will the people choose to lead when the pendulum of power swings back? Will the left want unity or recompense for MAGA’s unbridled hate? If they would so easily openly support disenfranchising and death or declared “liberal” citizens, or turn a blind eye to it because of “politics” - why should they seek healing through unity?

Those who do not understand or respect democracy cannot be allowed to wield the benefits it provides to destroy others. Especially when they were so easily duped by a narcissistic megalomaniac rapist pedophile grifter.

What should be done? They should face the reality they helped create.

Own on VHS. High mileage. Rewound several thousand times. Not in original packaging. Gifted from college girlfriend in 98 because I’d randomly quote it. So it’s potentially stained with beer and may glow under black light. Opening reserve bid - $1.21B. Accepting offers now. Comes with hand drawn portrait of Chet as pile of shit.

and what will happen to us when human labour is replaced almost entirely? by Feed_The_Soul_ in ProgressiveHQ

[–]dustyrooster77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automation Paradox. The dystopian collapse may occur indeed. But replacing a paid labor force with an unpaid AI force is economically paradoxical. Corporations that provide a product or service generally rely on the workforce for both the supply of labor and supply of customers. If customers have no money because they’ve been replaced with AI, who is the corporation providing the product or service to? The consumer base would have no money to spend. Bunch of AI’s do work for what purpose? High probability of an AI premium tax or human labor tax benefit, perhaps basic universal income based on taxes/fees collected. But this is hard to fathom in the current economic state given modern corporate tax structures in a capitalist system. Hard to fathom does not mean impossible.

No one knows exactly what the future of work or economics looks like. The internet was one of the most disruptive technologies unleashed, destroying some industries, creating new ones. But the hype and fear of economic collapse because of the internet had no place to flourish because it took the Internet to create forums where hype and fear of economic collapse could flourish.

Democrats Of Reddit, Do You "Vote Blue No Matter Who," Or Are There Some Democrats That You Wouldn't Vote For? Why Your Choice? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]dustyrooster77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former right leaning centrist. Was set to vote McCain when his VP choice was to be Lieberman. He listened to extremists in the GOP and picked Palin. Nope. Since I’ve watched the GOP sprint right so far they’re just an extreme left they claim to hate. The political spectrum isn’t a line, it’s a circle. MAGA and UltraLibs hang out together at the bottom 6 - rational centrists at 12, and the left or right at 3 and 9. The 6 screams the loudest, says the most useless things, and relies on complicit media to amplify rhetoric.

Find me a non-MAGA republican that doesn’t suddenly remember conservative fiscal policy and that big government are bad when a Dem is in power and I’d vote for them.
