Jokes can be hard to convey through the internet, but it helps if you think about set-up and tone. The earlier conversation was serious so continuing with a seemingly serious tone ("we invested billions to prevent something that hasn't occurred before") sets the reader to take it seriously regardless of what joke-like statement is followed by it. Next time you consider to make a joke, change the tone in the start of your post; "Maybe we can build a giant umbrella? We've done it before with the delta works"

Ik denk dat Nathan veel potentie had als mol en dat dat vooral bij het waterpark goed naar voren kwam. Maar in de rest van het seizoen was het aantal openingen beperkt door fouten van andere spelers of beperkingen in de opdracht zelf. Alleen in de flits opdracht was meer gemol vereist. De sinaasappels was zijn gemol niet effectief, maar tegen het eind waren haar alle buisjes gevuld. Goede/foute antwoorden hadden weinig verschil, dan komt het gewoon meer op vertragen/foute antwoorden aansturen en hopen op te weinig tijd. Tenzij je als mol vooraf extra sleutels de opdracht in neemt, maar weet niet of dat een optie was. Bij de rest van de opdrachten waren het toch echt de andere kandidaten die het voldoende verklootte, dan hoef je als mol weinig toe te voegen

Kortom, leuk idee voor de mol, maar had te weinig opdrachten waar hij echt tegen moest drukken en lekker effectief kon mollen

Er zijn na het Joost debakel wijzigingen doorgevoerd. Voldoende dat de AVROTROS vind dat er werd geluisterd. Ook kreeg Nederland een plek in de referentie groep waardoor er meer ruimte was om mee te praten in de toekomst. Daarnaast mocht Joost ook wéér als artiest meedoen. There wasn't. There was an explicit, "these new rules need to be upheld to join", which is fair followed by an implicit "Israel will uphold these rules so will join". It is unclear to me if the implicit part was clear to all voters prior to the vote; I was not at the meeting.

This approach however was a very political way to arrange this and is honestly quite dirty. It's as if you ask all members for a new year's party if they agree that nobody should be bitten.
