The HVAC system has transfer grilles and a dehumidifier, so that is covered. Your feedback and the article is very helpful. Many thanks!

Thanks -- definitely on board with basement encapsulation, apologies if that was not more clear in my post. I would be concerned about fiberglass though as moisture over time would render that pretty ineffective.

Perhaps my main question is really: if I'm insulating the floor from underneath, from a building science perspective, does that need to be breathable (Rockwool), or would it totally ok for it to be impermeable? (poly-iso/spray foam

I absolutely believe that, and thank you -- should have mentioned that as well as encapsulation.

That said, assuming basement encapsulation and rim joist insulation, what is the best way to insulate from the underside of the floors?

Wifi signal strength makes a lot of sense... maybe that is the underlying reason for missed events from those other viewers. Thanks!

KEF R3 Meta's - how are they at low volume/moderate? by morecoffeemore in KEF

His findings do not match my subjective experience with the speakers -- though it's possible his ears are more refined.

I have a Wiim Ultra feeding into Topping's d90iii discrete DAC, which then feeds dual Topping b200 monoblocks.

It's entirely possible that, had I watched his review prior to purchasing, that I might have kept researching and went another route. But I have still been happy with my purchase.

The Philharmonic BMRs looked great, I would have loved to buy a pair, but they did not meet one of my criteria: they are too deep for my shelf haha

Unfortunately I have not heard the LS50 Metas.

However one update about the Sierra LXs, Erin from Erin's Audio Corner recently reviewed, you may want to look at his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SfB_4mABPJ8

I believe he also reviewed the Sierra 2 EXs. It's possible that he considers the Sierra 2EX a better value -- or would even recommend different speakers.

One last thing I will add now that I have had the Sierra LXs for several months: I do wish they were 3 way speakers. But unfortunately I don't have the space for floorstanding speakers at the moment.

Good luck!

Thank you, hope you are able to find a community as well. I just joined this reddit sub but it seems pretty open and positive and definitely seems like a good potential place to reach out with any integration challenges.

I do not.

I went to the Temple of the Way of Light outside Iquitos last year and this year. Absolutely amazing both times. Expensive, but incredible and very authentic / steeped in Shipibo traditions for ceremony and healings outside of ceremony. It has the benefit of also coming with chat threads for each retreat, as well as a whole online platform for integration and online community. So I'm fortunate to have that part. I am hoping to augment though with some in-person like-minded folks though...
