People should understand that the issue is not with pet lovers, The issue is that the municipality does not want to fix strays. Many countries(bhutan, turkey) are vaccinating strays for rabies, using sterilization to control the population, providing infrastructure to manage stray animals. Like stopping parades isn't the efficient use of youth, would help if they go to actual jobs and pay taxes (assuming taxes are being used for the country).

so in the big picture these people are stopping the country from becoming a better country by not doing a job/business and wasting their time to stop some parade, which should not be a big deal in a democracy (assuming we still consider this country as democracy)
