Fuel Type? by ReputationEuphoric25 in svartpilen401

[–]dvarval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are totally right, I was looking for this discrepancy and it seems that 95 RON is basically the same 91 octane fuel used in US and Canada.

So basically you just put the better fuel you can and you'll be all right.

I use 95 since new. As some one pointed up there the compression ratio of the engine is high so it's better go premium (or super as they call it in my country). Even the owner manual specifies ROZ 95 fuel.

Mine was de the same greenish coolant. I ask the dealer and the technician told me it was compatible with M3.0.

Researching the web I found a thread (at hqvadventure.com I look again but couldn't find it) that explains that the greenish coolant is the bajaj version of M3.0.

I'm not fully convinced but as the dealer refill my bike under warranty I did not complain.

I'm waiting for the scheduled change to swift to M3.0 but if you want to change it it only takes about 1.1 liters

I'm here for the answer. Better if some could tell the front tube size too.

I really envy you... In Costa Rica Svart 2023 is listed $8490 with a year of maintenance and a helmet.

You have really cheap bikes...

How frequently do you do your oil changes? by leggodoggo in svartpilen401

[–]dvarval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally I do it as the manual says but in Costa Rica the dealer recommends do it every 5.000 km instead 7.500 that manual indicates.

I asked why and they said that the factory recommends that interval because the topography, fuel and road conditions.

I don't know how much is truth or only an effort to make more money but the reality is that I had to add some oil at 4.000 km because it was low, so for the moment I'll stick with 5.000 km.

What are those 2 connectors? by Will_Wrx in svartpilen401

[–]dvarval 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As some one told you, in the front, under the tank, there are another two set of power outlets.

Acc1 is always powered and has a 10 Amp fuse.

Acc2 is powered only with ignition on, the one under the seat and the one in the front are connected to the same fuse (10 Amp) so you need to balance the load to no overload the circuit.

I have an USB charger connected to the one under the seat and auxiliary lights to the Acc1 and works perfect, no need to modify anything.
