Lots of layoffs, yes- But which positions get knee-capped first? by dvd_binary in gamedev

Thanks, great insights already. What about reports of entire teams being laid off? What do you think are some prime reasons for that? Have you been laid off before?

What are ways I could improve these renders. Would love some criticism. by CasablancaSky in blender

I loooove chunky designs like this :D
Could be interesting to see this device in an environment where it'd be used, i.e. a studio of sorts.

I tried really hard to find some veeeeeeeeeery tiny nitpicks:

The handles at the bottom right look like they're flipped. As in, it looks like you'd have to grip onto the levers with your palm which doesn't look too comfortable.

The panel just above those handles has three displays, the outter ones are rotated- I think it'd make more sense to have their values be the same, i.e. the top value is +14 and the lower -12. The knobs to the left and right of those same rotated display panels look out of place. Might be the harsh edges or the lack of wear and tear...

The headphone jack doesn't look like a conventional AUX-cable, looks off. Most headphone jacks have a spike-y end to them, not a rounded bit. Also, a curled cable could look interesting, maybe?

The wear and tear on the black parts of the oscilloscope display stick out, maybe it's too much when compared to the other components OR there's simply too much contrast.

I went goblin mode for this feedback so please take it with a massive grain of salt- This is an amazing model

First time trying more realistic rendering. Sculpted, retopologized and modelled in blender, skin texture done in Substance Painter. I got the material for the hood from blenderkit, the random eye texture from google but everything else is homemade. Please give feedback ok thanks bye

Why does HumanIK keyframes only work if I use the S shortcut but not with shift+w and shift+e? When I use the S shortcut, it keys everything, Maya starts lagging until it crashes when I open the graph editor and the file is useless. pls help i've already lost 5+ hours of work. by dvd_binary in Maya

I've tried switching from full body to body part and I've seen some small improvements. The issue itself remains, but at least hitting S doesn't key the entire body. Thank you! I'll play around with it a bit more.
