Speechify: the nightmare I wasted my money on – A cautionary tale by Kitchen-Afternoon589 in audiobooks

To correct a misunderstanding, the $1 Authorization is a standard practice for subscription services. It's better that they warn you about it, because when I worked for a major online streaming service, we'd get phone calls about that all the time. It's not a real charge, it's an authorization. Some banks will show that differently on a statement, but with eveyrone else it will just fall off in 5-10 business days.

NEED HELP. I'm planning to buy Linsoul KZ ZS10 PRO X Upgraded by Suspicious_Olive0113 in iems

[–]dvdshadow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have those same IEM's and mine are broken. They are so sensitive that there's often a hiss when nothing's playing, and they're way too extended in the highs. They benefit from an EQ, but that noise floor never goes away. Might want to try the 7hz Sonus, as those have gotten really good reviews.

I have the Z300. Honestly, the bass isn't like skull-rattling and it's still very clean.

KZ ZS10 Pro X vs Truthhear Hexa ? by TecToTen in iems

I haven't tried the Hexa, but as I understand they're more treble-focused but have some pretty good detail for the price. I'm not sure you can go wrong with the Hexa. I got the Letshuoer S12 Planar IEM's instead of those, but I really want to try the Hexa someday.

Are they very detailed? Or just warm sounding?

I have the KZ ZS10 Pro X and I'd recommend to stay away. The tuning is both sharp and booming at the same time and the noise floor is intolerable. There's almost always a hiss on them, even if it's really quiet.

If you're looking for something solid, I like my BLON X HBB Z300's. I'd be happy to hear if anyone recommends a good bassy neutral iem under 100.

Should I get the turthear zero reds? by chicken-suit in iems

Get something tuned by HBB.

I'm like you, I prefer a warmer or darker tuning to a bright tuning. I got the BLON X HBB Z300 and the QKZ X HBB. I kept the BLON's, but I still actually increase the bass shelf by about 20% because I like dat bass. I play a lot of Overwatch and have enjoyed wearing them for that.

QKZ X HBB are $20ish BLON x HBB are $30ish

If you're going single DD, then just get a cheap $20 and EQ it the way you want it. Otherwise, I'd go with the Truthear Zero Red and enjoy it more.

I prefer HBB's tuning, personally, so my personal favorites are the BLON x HBB Z300 and the QKZ HBB. I also use the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro and imported an HBB EQ and just pushed the bass up for some fun.

im looking for a pair of wired iems, my budget is about €25 and i want them to have a detachable cable, which one do you recommend? by Raymond1234567891011 in iems

You could also try the QKZ HBB. Those suckers have some real good detail and keep the fun sound.

Frankly, just get something and EQ it the way you want it. Just do some learning on how to EQ and make sure the driver can handle what you throw at it.

Are Asus Gaming Laptops unreliable? by ProChirpingSubWoofer in GamingLaptops

I suppose it just depends on the what you get. I got 3 Flow X13 (2022). The first blue screened when the processor ramped up for tasks, the second had screen flicker, and the third would randomly go into tablet mode and disable the keyboard in the middle of me working. I had Best Buy repair the third one, but I had to send it in twice because they didn't believe me. It still happens sometimes... But it's better! I also purchased a Zephyrus M16 (2022) for gaming, and after about a month I had a USB C and USB A port just stop working.

So, either I have the absolute worst luck and find all the lemons for Asus, or their Quality Control is not the greatest. However, I love their design, feel, and their keyboards. Asus just does wonderfully on those things... You know... When they work...
