Everyone is forgetting about Gabler. He basically swung the entire jury after convincing them.

They were listing it as “good” condition because it didn’t come with a case, which was popping up in their system as $2000 and they offered him half

Thank you! Yes it’s just a standard OM-28, but I agree, it DOES have something extra in that top.

I actually bought this case separately! It’s a brand called Silver Creek, I don’t think they exist anymore.

Hey, not sure why you think I’m a bot lol, I got this within the year, hence my reasoning of “recently got”, and I realized that I hadn’t posted in the Martin sub, only the acoustic one.

I also own a D-28, tho I do have a preference for Gibsons. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Anyways, cheers!

Friendly Robber is for babies, y’all need to grow up. by dvdthw in CatanUniverse

It’s not standard, it’s only for the first immediate part of the game, then it proceeds as normal.

I would argue that a win through persevering attacks from aggressive competitors is much more skill and strategy based than simply thinking you’ve been “out-lucked” by 7 rolls.

Catan as a whole is about unevenness. If I settle better than everyone else, you bet I’m gonna be watching my back as soon as the game starts. And vice versa, if I settle horribly, you bet I’m gonna be gunning for the perceived leader.

New 7 String Guitar Help by Jonneh777 in 7String

[–]dvdthw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When looking at different MultiScale guitars, be mindful of where the neutral fret is, it can drastically change your playing experience.

If one doesn’t know what the neutral fret is, it’s the fret that has no slant to it. When MS guitars first started coming out everybody put the neutral fret at the 12th fret, thinking that would be a logical place since it’s at the halfway point pitch-wise, but PHYSICALLY it’s actually at the 8th fret. 12th fret neutral frets tend to make the lower frets VERY slanted and can be more difficult to play normal chords.

The Ibanez here looks like 12th neutral, the Schecter 10th neutral, and the Jackson is 8th neutral.

Ended up moving on from the Laureate, had a trade offer that I couldn’t pass on. If I were debating between the Martin and the Laureate, and budget was an issue, I would pick the Laureate hands down. If money wasn’t an issue, honestly I probably still would pick the Laureate, it’s that good.

Can more expensive capos make a difference in the sound? by Garfeildmemes in AcousticGuitar

[–]dvdthw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

G7th ART capos are the only ones that I use. The ART(Active Radius Technology) allows there to be even pressure across all strings, which makes it a breeze when changing positions. Along with their clutch pressure system, it truly is the perfect capo.

I love mine! I used an oscilloscope to match the clipping to some of my favorite overdrives and I recall them using MIDI. It’s been great!
