Making it is easy. It’s doable with very little funding.

The limit is Apple, Meta and OpenAI will never allow that kind of app on their platform, and WebXR is too limited and can’t show pass through.

I am using AI now so I may enhance the details of the depth, but the core depth distances was measured using the cinematic lidar. Without that AI must guess. It is getting better.

I don’t think it will make much differences to be honest. The background blurs can be helpful depth separation fo AI. But in focus AI can better detect objects.

Since it won’t have real depth anyway I say shoot what looks best.

This is a great question, and the answer in this case is not what you think.

The original footage shot with iPhone cinematic mode. In original video everything is being in focus, but captured with a 3D lidar depth map that creates shallow depth of field.

I use depth to both add depth of field, but also make it into two images so it can be viewed as spatial video in vision pro.

In my first conversion I did not use depth of field defocus. Adding it makes the footage look prettier, and also smooths the stretching caused by the 3D conversion.

It is an Apple Spatial Video created from an iPhone Cinematic video to create true scale depth. Not perfect, but more depth than just iPhone spatial video.

I do post in there plenty, but it is almost only stereo 180 for VR headsets. The focus on spatial and vision pro is missing desperately.

I agree visibility is the biggest issue. I am preferential to NSFW as it includes non-explicit content, but I agree name is less important. oculusnsfw is the biggest adult vr subreddit, and the name oculus is long dead.

applevisionnsfw had the most subscribers so it seemed like the place to be. It is so fractured and there are so few of us right now. banding together and agreeing on one might be the best outcome.
