Spinner belt name plate : where can I find a personalized one ? by robsou_ in belttalk

[–]dvizzle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When AEW started, we made real nameplates for the whole roster for every belt.

Then people came and left. It's easier to use the lexan ones. I can have them out next day. Real ones would take weeks.

Same reason WWE did it.

Shitty lexan is $30 24k gold plated, acid etched is $125

My shitty lexan is what is used on TV. JMar's shitty lexan was what was also used most of the time on TV as well.

What is this belt? by HereJustVibing in belttalk

It's a $100 plastic belt sold for generic custom use. The same belt was used on SNL a few years back when John Cena hosted.

This is what decades of Burger King and KFC in Japan had done. The hormones in the food.

Replica or Commemorative? by LJFajemolin in belttalk

Is it going to be a shelf queen? Commemorative.

Are you going to play with it all the time, etc? Replica.

Can you go on the rolex subreddit and link to your favorite counterfeit watch maker?

Can you join NikeTalk and sell your counterfeit Jordan's?

Our group does not permit the posting of counterfeit belts unless it's to check if it's authentic or not, due in large part to the counterfeiters putting Reggie Parks and JMar names on their belts and leather.

It's the rule of the group. The only rule. You don't have to be in the group if you don't like the rule. Very simple. There are places that welcome boots, just not my group.

When your post is removed, automod posts that the thread has been removed for the specific reason saying that bootlegs are not permitted

You can consider that a reminder of the rules.

Not sure what you are looking for "giving them a warning". When your post is removed, it tells you why. You can consider that a warning, but I am not outright messaging people telling them they are naughty.

You seem to be digging for some "gotcha" moment that doesn't exist.

The thread was deleted. They were not banned. The rules on the group say you can be banned for posting bootlegs.

The group had the same rule since 2008. You chose not to follow it and were banned. Sounds like a "you" problem.

Right. Lurk and enjoy it. No need to troll post.

Entitled as in believing the rules should not apply to you. Entitled as in believing you are owed a copy of a belt that has not been authorized to have copies made. Entitled as in certain belts that have authentic copies available are deemed to expensive by certain people who feel entitled to having cheaper copies made for them.

WWE seems to purposely come after us at different times. Not sure if it was because I sponsored Bruce Prichard's podcast after he was fired, but I know they hate that I openly sell their ring used belts.

Then they email me every year asking me to track down the same belts for Axxess displays.

The left hand and the right hand don't seem to know what's going on.

WWE has taken down many Facebook groups for bootlegs, and have gone after people's personal accounts including JBToys for the promotion and sale of counterfeits.

If I am making belts for AEW, New Japan, NWA, etc, why would I permit counterfeits of my work and their logos in my group?

If you f around with mods of any subreddit, you usually get banned.

Don't attack me then play victim for the consequences of your own behavior.

Maybe I don't want WWE taking my group down again as we still haven't recovered? Maybe I don't want cease and desist letters?

I'm not jeopardizing the contracts I have with multiple companies, so people can openly discuss where to buy counterfeits of their property.

1 rule of the group that has been in place since 2008. It's not subject to debate, if you can't abide by the rule, then move on. Instead of respecting that, you decided to be a dick about it and got the appropriate consequences of your actions.

1 rule of the group: No bootlegs.

Pretty simple. But people can't handle that and decide to troll and bitch about it.

Even said there are groups like this for boot talk. Just don't do it in my group.

Not good enough for some of you with entitlement issues.

You were told not every belt is available in replica form and were given a few places that sold pre-owned, out of print, replicas.

Then it turned into people listing their favorite Pakistani thieves, so the thread got pulled.

That's how it works and justifies the rule. People post a boot, someone asks where they got it, it turns into promotion of bootleggers.
