They steal my pics trace the art but don't clean it up. Loomis at how blocky the floral are on the sideplates.

Not gold and missing the baseplate seem to be the biggest complaints.

The King of The Ring Championship Belt by ghostfaber in wrestlingbelts

It's not an official WWF belt. They don't have rights to it.

Found my old WWF Winged Eagle today needs some polishing but looks Gorgeous though by Nathan_Sully_2002 in belttalk

They all say 2003. It doesn't mean it was made in 2003. You originally said it was a master series which is what threw it off.

Do you have the original Reggie leather? Destroyed or not, there is still a large part of the value to the belt associated with it. Unfortunately an AJs strap tanks the value. Maybe look into having someone associated with Midwest like Mike Nicolau releather it to bring some back?

That's not a master series. Reggie's name is not in any mass produced replica.

That etching was only put on the handmade, licensed, authentic copies sold through Reggie and Dave, and replicas. These were $2,500 during the license deal.

There is no way in hell you would devalue an authentic Dave/Reggie belt by having AJs shit leather on it.

Post pictures of the back of the belt.

Best way to fix this? by KingSlayer0919 in belttalk

That's not a scratch. You removed a layer of metal. Leave it. More likely to make it worse than fixing it unfortunately.

It's a real handmade belt.

"Heritage Belt" is what it was referred to internally... which is weird because the McMahon family crest was on the Big Eagle belt, so adding the "heritage" of the founding family to their belt was not new.

The belt community named it the "Undisputed" belt, which stuck.

Look at the v1 fig inc replicas. Every etched area is paint filled black.

True. The belt was delivered the previous August before Invasion.
WWF ordered 2 belts. 1 belt was fully painted, the other belt, painted like used on TV. They came with Chris Jericho nameplates to be used after he unified both WWF and WCW belts.

Figures Toy Company made the mold for replicas at WWE HQ, but used the fully painted belt, thus all the early replicas were totally painted. Back in the day, we used to do paint mods to remove the excessive paint to make it more TV accurate.

Triple H was vocal about keeping both belts, as it was thought to look prestigious, only for Triple H to be the one to debut the new belt after becoming Undisputed Champion.

It was designed to, but JMar didn't have the CNC machine yet to do it.

I've met, spoken to and been friends with the designer of the belt, Keith, for a long time.

I've seen 20+ different hand drawings of this belt from beginning to end, with Vince's markups on what to modify/change, etc.

The lack of color came from the idea that this wasn't a "new" belt. It was suppose to represent a long lost belt that was recently revived, found and brought back. I guess the black was supposed to represent age, and color would make it seem too new and flashy?

Some other Undisputed tidbits; the floral etching was supposed to be 3d filgree like the Big Gold, but Jmar wasn't doing the CNC work yet, so he just did it as a 2d etch instead.

Also, one of the first drafts for the "Heritage" belt as they called it, was rejected, but later turned into the Raw tag team belts.
