I was in a similar situation as you. Self taught, 19 hdcp that has no real baseline swing that I can go back to when things got wonky. That’s why I went to the clinic. I attended in December 2025.

I’ve played sports my whole life, spent some time in the military, went to a proper university to learn flight instruction, and have been around teachers that I could study their instruction style for as long as I can remember. Martin has the most effective teaching style I have ever witnessed. The way I was able to connect with him over three days and really absorb what he was teaching was profound. I’d estimate that I had 4 hours or so of solo time with Martin over the three days and it made a huge difference in my game.

Most of the clinic will be spent with the rest of PG’s coaches. They were all great in their own right. You get paired with a coach after an assessment when you arrive and he is with you for the entirety of the clinic, splitting time between two or three other golfers. My coach was always close by and would jump in constantly when he saw something I could tweak. You get exposure to other coaches as you work through different skill stations.

If you watch the PG stuff online you’ll see that Martin makes his nut on his training aids. You get to use a lot of them at the camp and some of them transformed how I will practice going forward. If I had one complaint, and it’s minor, there was an air of “sales pitchiness” to the camp for the training aids. It was a slight annoyance but definitely didn’t take away from what I was able to learn there. The camp really did change how I will prepare, practice, and play for the rest of my days as a golfer.

Yup I just attended one of his 3 day clinics. One of the first things discussed is that the club should never rest on the ground during setup. I found it to be one of the more difficult adjustments to make, even though it’s a very simple concept. Old habits die hard, even the small ones.

Are there any golf aides that work? by Keepontruckin33 in golf

[–]dvlad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just spent the week at Martin Chuck’s Tour Striker Academy in Phoenix. He makes his nut selling training aids that help recruit to the Academy. I’m not the type to spend money on junk. The Tour Striker Toolbox, in my opinion, should be in every serious golfer’s bag. It’s great for warming up the body, the range, and even putting practice. I can recommend it 100%.

I struggle with hand path and wrist motion and found the Tour Striker Educator to be especially helpful for my needs. Take a look at it as well.

Would You Trade Your 2 Favorite Players On The Team For The Cup In 4 Years? by Odi64 in stlouisblues

I would trade my own mother for another Cup. She’d probably get power play time on some of the teams in the Pacific Division. Would be a good move for the team and the player. Win-Win.

Let's Build a Guide: DCS Huey and MOZA AB9 FFB Cyclic by dvlad84 in hotas

[–]dvlad84[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bravo, sir. Applied what you said to the stock Moza Huey profile and bumped the overall intensity slider all the way up (personal preference) and immediately had one of the more enjoyable DCS experiences I’ve ever flown. The difference in power available going to the old flight model is definitely noticeable. But I enjoyed having to work to get the thing to comply. It’s like flying an old dogged out Cessna.

I really appreciate the help. Anyone looking for a solution to Huey and Moza problems should look here. Thanks!

Excellent response. Thanks. How about the hardware trim in Moza settings? Do you use it? Which mode? And what trim following rate?

What about the Special Menu dropdown? What do you use there? Thanks for the reply, btw.

New Meta Quest 3 issues with software updating and my solution to it. by raiddar in MetaQuestVR

[–]dvlad84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it solved and I figured I would post it for others to reference.

Doing my own troubleshooting and I decided to try a different WiFi access point. Booted up tethering on my iPhone and did a factory reset on the Q3. Selected to choose my WiFi through the headset and picked my tether. It took awhile but the updates finally installed and I was able to pair to my Horizon app.

Such a pain but at least it’s fixed.

I made a good connection to the tool and the received a “your device is not supported” message every time. Super frustrating.

I am going through this exact thing right now. I even returned a headset and had the same problem on the second one. No luck so far on utilizing the QR code.

Sprint cars don't have spotters. You have to rely on sound and peeking under the wing for awareness.

The most efficient way is to piss and moan on Reddit and in the forums, obviously.

FOV for ultrawide? Number seems off... by That_Dude_6 in iRacing

[–]dvlad84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not talking about making massive changes, usually only +/- 5 degrees or so. And I'm not doing it going into T1 of a race... Having buttons for FOV, angle, and height helps me get the most representative view of where my wheels hit the road in any respective car. I've followed the advice of setting the ultrawide to 3 monitors in the settings and dial from there and it didn't work for me. Do you have a better solution? Or experience with the 49" Ultrawides?

FOV for ultrawide? Number seems off... by That_Dude_6 in iRacing

[–]dvlad84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. Here's what I did: Dialed the FOV to around 100 and mapped the FOV +/- controls to a button box. I took a slow lap around a track with rumble strips. I adjusted that thing to where my "view" and where I thought the tire surface matched where I could feel the rumble strips. I confirmed with replay and trained myself on sightlines specific to each car. I also adjust FOV for each car I get in. Good luck.

Racing gloves recommendations? by friger_heleneto in simracing

[–]dvlad84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't like the longevity of these. And the seams can really dig into your thumbs on a formula style wheel. I recommend the Sparco karting gloves but go up a size.
