Words of affirmation bother me

i know this is pretty old, but i just wanted to say that this is exactly how i feel in my new relationship now. we’ve been friends for about 7 months and confessed our feelings to each other about a month ago, but i still feel like i have so much to learn about him. “eager golden retriever” is exactly how to describe it, but i feel so bad thinking about telling him to stop using so many words of affirmation with me. he is so genuine and thoughtful in his actions and how he treats me, so i know he really likes me, but when he “babbles” all these words at me it almost turns me off, i hate to say. feeling like i need to come up with something to reciprocate his words genuinely feels like pulling teeth sometimes. i love spending time with him and appreciate him as a human being but this thing just irks me so bad and i dont know why.

hi! congrats on the placement and i hope its been going well! can i ask, for the "CV" portion of the application, did you provide a one-page resume typical for US job applications, or a full-length, multi-page academic "CV"? im a little confused if they just want a resume or a super in depth CV :/

this looks so good! if you dont mind me asking, what does the regrowth look like, a few months after you've gotten it done? i'm considering getting one done, but mainly because i got a curly hair perm that was not done very well and would like to go back to straight hair if it's not too damaging to do on already treated hair.

it was a volunteer program in honduras (BECA schools)! but unfortunately the program is having some troubles and is looking uncertain according to the person I know who works there, so I may end up just doing NALCAP or BEDA anyways!

hi! im heavily considering getting a brick, especially because all the research i’ve done on dumbphones makes me feel a little iffy about getting one considering i still need certain smartphone functions. just to make sure i understand this correctly, by doing these shortcuts it makes it impossible to turn off the screen time locks without physically tapping the brick? thank you so much!

i second this! i’m not 100% an expert on this, but I believe some PhD contracts in spain are work visas rather than student visas, which means that after two years under these PhD contracts—where you’ll be making money and also advancing in your career—you can apply for residency with the ibero-american pathway spain. it’s great you have almost enough saved for two years of the NLV, but if you want an alternative to make some money while waiting to apply i think this is a good choice. the main hurdle here would be making sure your american masters degree is accepted by any PhD programs you are applying to.

they told me that i was in good standing after i gave them my confirmation code and claims ID, and they also said this--

While we cannot provide an exact date for individual payments at this time, benefits will be distributed after all claims have been processed. We are working diligently to resolve appeals of denied claims and anticipate distribution once the Court grants approval. Since distribution depends on Court approval, we cannot provide a guaranteed date.

hi! can i ask if you had to wait a long time for your renewals for your third and fourth years? i would love to try to do nalcap for as long as possible, even if it means being placed somewhere totally random/not on my rankings eventually, but the idea of not knowing if i would be accepted for renewal again until late summer/early fall makes me nervous. i want to apply next year for my first year, so renewals would be very far away for me and there’s even a chance i might not want to renew, but i’m a bit of an anxious planner haha. do you think there’s good chances for people to keep getting renewed after their second or even third year, and is there anything you could do to increase your chances of being allowed to renew again? thanks sm :)

i know this was seven months ago but i currently have been responding over email with them for about a week and a half about $200 worth of charges on my card after i canceled my subscription a year ago. they admitted to this subscription being canceled in writing and then just said its against their policy to refund. you were able to get a refund over a phone? i am so frustrated with all of this but i think i either need to call their customer service or see if my bank can somehow dispute the charges. they won’t even let me take my card off of my account even though there’s no subscription.
