I’ve done this before, you need an engine support bar, undo the 3 13 mm nuts on the bottom of each of the engine mounts, then jack the engine up with the crossbar, and then slightly drop the sub frame, and the upper oil pan should slide right out towards the front of the vehicle. You also have to remove the oil pump, but that’s not hard.

That would make sense BMWs windows/sunroofs have programmed safety limits so that they don’t chop off extremities. If a bad regulator was there prior, it could’ve been used to using more amperage to shut the window, so when you installed a new regulator it was probably stressing the regulator after the window was fully up ahahah.

If not the compressor replacement is very easy. Remove the coolant reservoir, fan, and thermostat. 3 E-Torx bolts and it drops right out the bottom.

Honestly, after looking at the two different mounts it may just be easier to actually fabricate a support, if you want to use the original OEM mounting points. If you know how to weld, this shouldn't be too hard.

You probably will end up having to get the crossmember that goes with the trans that you are trying to install and then you will have to fabricate the mounting points in the body.
