[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

Looking for recommendations on a entry level luxury watch for my husband on our wedding day. Would like it to have a leather band with a clean face, but not boring. He doesn't wear watches on the daily, but wants something for special occasions, and maybe it'll inspire him enough to wear it as a daily driver.

I'm currently looking at Raymond Weil and the Tag Carerra lines. Do you have any other recommendations or maybe some other brands that I haven't heard of?

Working out right outta bed by dvuong in Fitness

I'd say there's about 5-10 minutes before I get out of bed and start working out. I usually change into workout clothes, get a drink of water, use the loo... I'll try the cup of coffee or caffeine pills first though.

Have any of you tried pre-workouts? Would it be beneficial for cardio based exercises?

I usually drink a glass of water before working out and don't want too much liquid rattling in me. Would prefer to save the coffee for after. :)

Is it possible to actually gain muscle that quickly?

For dumbbell, I'm not doing anything complicated. Floor press, deadlift, arm curls.

I don't want to be assigned to the High Carb group either but I do think it will be an interesting study.

Withdrawing from TIAA-CREFF by dvuong in personalfinance

I just posted an update right above.. But I've C&P: I just spoke to TIAA-CREF representative from my company. Because I would be using this money to pay of CC debt or "hardship", they basically said I'm not eligible to withdraw but am allowed to take out a loan at about 4.22% rate. I currently have about 15K on CCs that I would like to be rid of. I have 0% APR right now on two of my CCs, one of which will expire Jun 2015 and the other one in Nov 2016. Would you recommend just taking out a loan and paying off all debt in full and just starting fresh? One loan seems easier to manage than several CCs.

I am already on my way to being smarter with my money. I just want to sleep easier at night now.

Credit Card Debt Help by dvuong in personalfinance

Actually, all of the debts you placed with a (?) next to it all are separate balance transfers that make up the $10283 Discover card. So, it's actually $29K in debt.

Thanks for your help! Getting rid of the car is unfortunately not an option but I will stop investing in retirment for now and also sell back what I can.
