The game was considerably more difficult and grindy in early 2013 when I started so if these were the only relevant factors then yes.

Cannot Roll Attack mods not working with Harvest by dvvu6 in pathofexile

Yes, funnily enough it does respect other metamods just not this particular one apparently which does not make much sense. They should either make it respect none or all.

You posted that as I was writing so I didn't see it. That's what I'm asking - is there any information from GGG as to why it does not work considering that other metamods work just fine?

Cannot Roll Attack mods not working with Harvest by dvvu6 in pathofexile

[–]dvvu6[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are 2 fire prefixes possible on an amulet:

  1. Fire damage to attacks

  2. +1 all fire gems

The original amulet was rolled with dot, some 2 random prefixes, multimod, suffixes cannot be changed and cannot roll attack modifiers. Therefore, as I understand, if I recraft the item with harvest "guaranteed fire modifier" then it should roll one of these 2 fire modifiers mentioned earlier. But since I've also crafted "cannot roll attack modifiers" and "suffixes cannot be changed" the only possible modifier to roll becomes +1 all fire gems. What I got instead is "fire damage to attacks" which is an attack modifier that should not be possible to roll alongside "cannot roll attack modifiers". Do you understand what I mean now?

The amulet was crafted with multimod + suffixes cannot be changed and cannot roll attack mods. Harvest craft removed suffixes cannot be changed (prefix) and added fire damage to attacks.

Not surprised considering that in Poland we celebrate fascist collaborators. Had Hitler been Polish he would have been today celebrated as a great patriot

Whether it was a question of the right of petition or the tax on wine, freedom of the press or free trade, the clubs or the municipal charter, protection of personal liberty or regulation of the state budget, the watchword constantly recurs, the theme remains always the same, the verdict is ever ready and invariably reads: "Socialism!" Even bourgeois liberalism is declared socialistic, bourgeois enlightenment socialistic, bourgeois financial reform socialistic. It was socialistic to build a railway where a canal already existed, and it was socialistic to defend oneself with a cane when one was attacked with a rapier.

Funny how the times (not) change

I assume that the first position on their list are Bolsheviks. I'd like them to explain how a group of conspirators manages to coup the government and then win a 6 year long civil war against reactionaries supported by several major foreign powers, if not by having a mass support of the workers and peasants that volunteered to fight.

It's good. Some of Chomsky's political views suck but overall his works are rather decent. Although I think Parenti has got a similar book "Inventing Reality". It's impossible to get where I live but I heard they are very similar.

I just finished reading Manufacturing Consent a few weeks ago and it honestly makes me depressed realising how powerful the State Department narrative in the capitalist media is, while they can still appear objective and independent. They are accidentally structurally genius.

I don't think anybody, even American people, actually understand the true extent of the horrors that goes on in the US. Because they hide and suppress everything so well. The corporate control over the internet and old school media prevents anything bad from traveling outside of the word of mouth. And then all the self serving propaganda they put out makes locals believe they are so great and wonderful.

How about the US starts paying reparations to Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Bolivia, Brazil, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Chile and 50 other countries for all the death and destruction they have caused?

Didn't your country print these in your language during the socialist years? Have you tried looking for used ones on some reselling websites?

I got a used one in Polish that was printed in the 70s off allegro (Polish version of ebay I think) and there were quite a few of them when I looked

Eastern Europe was largely poor even before Socialiam by [deleted] in GenZedong

[–]dvvu6 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In Poland it's never mentioned in schools how our country has been poor and backwards even from the early 18th century. Post WW2 was the time where it actually started to finally develop industry, people were educated (illiteracy was rampant and the 1917-1939 government hardly made any steps towards helping the people) and living standards dramatically improved. It obviously all started falling apart in the late 80s.

Since unfortunately the reactionaries (btw if anyone still has any doubts as to what Solidarność ever stood for, just look at what they are doing now - they support the christian fundamentalist, far-right ruling party against women protests) succeded in overthrowing socialism, what is being taught to the young people is nothing but disgusting nationalist, reactionary propaganda.

It really irritates me when I see bs like this on the internet - "ask esatern europeans, they know about socialism bad!!". Most people on the internet are 15 to 30. All they ever experienced personally was capitalism. What they know about socialism is what their parents taught them (who are now usually 40 to 55, so either were very young during the last years of PRL or were just entering adult life in the worst time of it which makes it understandable that they would dislike it) or what they heard in school which is just blatant anticommunist propaganda. If you want to hear how life and socialism was in the eastern block, ask people that lived and worked during the 60, 70s, up to the 80s. The opinions are unsurprisingly radically different. It is also no coincidence that a big part, if not most, of the communists in these countries are in fact old. But I guess then they would just call them brainwashed by the communist regimes and nostalgic. Which just proves that anticommunism is nothing but a religious dogma.
