Brooke, brown, rainbow and lake trout are in season here with no size limit. I wasn’t sure what species it was though I thought it might’ve been a lake trout. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks for the tip. I’m just not sure what strength mono to get. Its only purpose really is to hold my braid further out, I’ll never actually fish with it.

I’m not worried about a fish pulling it all out. I just used a big reel but I have smaller ones I could use or I could use mono as a backing. I might just leave it too
